This form is displayed when you select the Parts delivery control option from the POINT OF SALE Main Menu. It allows you to display, and process, customer orders, from the picking stage through to invoice and the van delivery stage (prints mass invoices and van Deliver documents for the WIP records held in its grid). The form contains a single record (one line) for each customer order (WIP) created from Point-of-Sale. The order/record is generated automatically by the system when you click Picking slip to print a picking slip within Point-of-Sale.
FILTER [by]:
Wip Number: Type in a WIP number to display a single line of information that corresponds to the WIP (0 = All).
Route code: Type in part, or all, of the route code, to display all customer order WIPs for a specific van route.
Status: Type in the picking line status - P, I, D, X, H, (or * for P, I, D, or H) - to filter lines by each status:
P = Picking. Lines (parts) to be picked from the bins, using the picking notes printed from Point-of-Sale
I = Invoiceable. These lines are displayed in red. They are WIPs where all the zones have been picked, awaiting either:
delivery notes printed in Point-of-Sale, or
an invoice printed in Parts Delivery Control or Point-of-Sale.
Note: If the Sales Ledger Account on the WIP is a Delivery account type, a delivery note must be printed from within Point-of-Sale before the WIP is invoiced from Parts Delivery Control or Point-of-Sale.
D = Deliverable. The whole WIP has been invoiced. Put the parts onto a van or into a van route area, and click Deliver. This sets the status of the line(s) to X, which removes the line(s) from the Parts Delivery Control grid.
H = Held. A line set as D can be set to H by selecting the Hold/Release option button and double-clicking the line should you not want to complete the delivery process for this WIP at this time.
X = Completed. Typing in X in this field displays all the lines that have been fully completed.
Zone: The zone boxes relate to the Bin zone file in SM Miscellaneous Options menu within Stock Management module. Typing in the appropriate status under each zone, (* for All), lists WIPs containing parts in that zone for that status.
Auto refresh: Selecting this check-box causes the grid to be refreshed automatically when you type in new, Filter group-box data then press the TAB key.
FILTER GROUP PUSH BUTTONS:
Reset: Re-sets all the Filter group-box fields to defaults, reading all entries found in the Parts Delivery Control file except lines at status X, and populating the grid.
Refresh: Refreshes the grid manually, listing lines that match the Filter group-box criteria
WIP: The WIP number from Point-of-Sale
Date: The date when the record was created in the Parts Delivery Control file. For example, the date when picking slip(s) are printed from Point-of-Sale.
Time: Time when the record was created and the picking slip printed
Route: Van delivery route code as recorded from the WIP in Point-of-Sale
S: This column holds the lowest status of all the statuses held under each zone column for this WIP line. The statuses, in sequence, are:
P - Picking. One or more parts lines have not been physically picked from the bin(s). For example, not all picking slip(s) have been printed from Point-of-Sale
I - Invoiceable: All the lines (parts) that have been picked, awaiting either: delivery notes (to be printed in POS), or invoices to be printed. These lines are shown in red.
Note: If the Sales Ledger account on the WIP is a Delivery account type, a delivery note must be printed from within Point-of-Sale before the WIP is invoiced from Parts Delivery Control or Point-of-Sale.
D - Delivery: The whole WIP has been invoiced. Put the parts onto a van or into a van route area, and click Deliver. This sets the status of the line(s) to X, which removes the line(s) from the Parts delivery control grid.
H - Hold: The whole order has been picked and invoiced, but is held at user request. Can only be manually released for delivery. The last remaining process is to Deliver the parts.
X - Completed: Lines at X are automatically excluded from the grid. This occurs when you click Deliver against a line that was at D status.
Note: You can view the lines at X by typing X into the Status field in the Filter group-box then clicking Refresh.
Account: The Sales Ledger Account code held on the customer's WIP in Point-of-Sale
Zone columns - for example: A,B,C: These are the Zones set up in the Bin Zone file in in SM Miscellaneous Options menu within Stock Management module. A customer order may have parts in several zones, or all the parts ordered may be in one zone:
P - At least one part in this zone (for this order) has not been picked.
I - All the parts in this zone (for this order) have been picked.
X - All the parts in this zone (for this order) have been invoiced.
[Delivery name]: This name is populated from the Customer's name on the left-hand side of the WIP in Point-of-Sale.

Invoice: Prints an invoice for each WIP line in the grid where the overall status is I: Invoiceable. These lines are displayed in red. Prints an invoice for all WIPs that are ready for printing.
Note: The Point-of-Sale delivery note should have been printed.
Deliver: The Deliver function is used to confirm that all the parts for a WIP have been picked, invoiced, and put onto a van route for physical delivery to customers. The function sets the Header status from Status D to X, and removes the WIP line from the grid on the Parts Delivery Control Form. To enable the Deliver button, type the required route into the Route code of the Filter criteria fields, and click Refresh. After clicking Deliver, three options are available:
Deliver and Print: Prints a delivery list for the selected van route, showing the WIP number; Invoice number; (Departure) Date; (Departure) Time; User ID, and Customer name. The header status (S column) is set to X, and the line is removed from the grid.
Deliver: The Header status is set to X, and the line is removed from the grid. No report is produced, as multi-part invoices may be sent with the goods and updated, to indicate acceptance by the customer.

Wip no: Allows you to enter a WIP number and use the Edit Order Form without having to search for the WIP in the grid
Delete: Deletes a line
Warning: This process is not reversible.
To delete a line, type in the WIP Number into the Filter group-box and press the TAB key to display the required WIP line. Click Delete. On clicking Yes to the confirmation dialog box, the WIP entry is removed from the grid, setting the status to X. All WIP entries can be deleted with the exception of status X lines.
