Bin Zone Maintenance

The bin zone maintenance facility is only available if you are required to carry out bin location maintenance by your manufacturer. In some cases, separate sub-sections (zones) may exist in addition to the main stock location/warehouse, and each zone may use a different printer. Standard functionality exists that allows you to create and maintain bin zones, and identify the default supplier and Point-of-Sale printers specific to each zone. A zone record is a single alpha character from A-T, which thus restricts you to a maximum of 20 zones. If required, you can identify a zone when you create a bin location record.

Note: The zone structure is predominantly used by the Point-of-Sale system but may be disabled by leaving the Default zone parameter empty.

To access bin zones:

  1. From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Stock management option and Company you require.

The STOCK MANAGEMENT menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Miscellaneous options option and click OK.

The SM MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.

  3. Select the Bin zone maintenance option.

The Bin zones form is displayed.
