This menu is displayed when you click System Utilities > MANAGEMENT MENU.
Access to functions on the menu is controlled by access permissions, called priorities. Each function is given a priority when Autoline is installed. Your administrator gives each user a priority. Functions whose priority is higher than your own are omitted from the menus shown on your screen. If you think you need access to a function described in this help but not visible on your screen, check with your administrator.
Permissions & security:: Enables you to set up permissions & securities for selected employees.
Broadcast message: Enables you to broadcast a message to all users. The message will be displayed in the Broadcast area at the top of any menu of any module until it is changed, or set back to blank.
Restart library: Enables you to restart the library. It enables you to terminate any sessions that may still be open after a system crash.
Restore from backup: Enables you to Restore data from Backup to your working system.
Special privilege: Enables the system manager to temporarily override priority restrictions for a particular terminal thereby giving a low-priority user permission to carry out a high priority operation.
EOD file request: Enables you to select a specific Module, Company, File and then an Activity for running at the end of the day.
Generic validation: Enables you to select a Module, File and field and ensures that they comply with the requirements of the software.
Dealer parameters: Primarily used in multi-dealer franchises. This option is used by Point of Sale and Showroom for remote ordering. As such it is used by specific applications.
Countries: Enables you to list Countries showing the following detail: Intrastat code, Country, International prefix, Distribution company, Transport cost, and Mail code.
Stationery Languages: Enables you to create print manager formats for different country codes.
Languages: Enables you to list languages showing the following detail: Language code, Description, $SPECIAL code, and Language code (C1).
Locations: Enables you to view details about each location in the dealership
Location posting codes: Contains a list of posting codes and descriptions.
Add/modify mail groups: Applicable to UNIX only. If you are running on NT then this option is not applicable. It enables you to create and amend mail groups.
Add/modify mail aliases: Applicable to UNIX only. If you are running on NT then this option is not applicable. It enables you to create and amend mail groups.
User details: Enables you to view/amend details about each user.
Printer map: Enables you to view/amend details about each printer.
Print options: Enables you to set up automated print options.
Terminal groups: Enables you to view / amend Groups / Departments and their full descriptions.
Terminal map: Displays the terminal number and then enables you to view / amend the terminal details.
Export facilities: Enables you set up the facility to export files.
Reset in use flags: Resets all the files with in use flags for either all the companies or a specific company for all the modules.
Check all files: Checks all the files with in use flags for either all the companies or a specific company for all the modules.
Verify all files: Verifies whether the system is accessing the correct key paths.
Rebuild all files: Rebuilds all the files with in use flags for either all the companies or a specific company for all the modules.
Disk usage: Displays information about disk space.
Maintain master calendar: Allow you to change any information regarding the Master calendar.
Check next years calendar: You can look up next years calendar.
KPrint form version numbers: Enables you to view / amend KPrint version numbers.
Database Auditing: Enables you to keep an audit log of amendments, additions or deletions of columns and their values.
ISO Codes: Enables you to view/amend a table of internationally recognized country codes.
View set-up (Buildinfo): Enables you to view Buildinfo file.
Edit set-up (Buildinfo): Enables you to edit Buildinfo file.
