Mercedes-Benz has implemented a business process aimed at managing and monitoring the quality of Point of Sale WIPS.
You can use Quality Control to display questionnaires that are assigned to the WIP and pre-defined questions to be answered, saved and printed.
What do you want to do?
With Mercedes-Benz Quality Control (ISO9002) activated the creation or opening of a Point of Sale WIP, makes the Final control field on the WIP's Options tab available.
When a WIP's Final control option is selected and the work is completed on the WIP (all labour lines completed) the WIP is marked for checking and processing via the new Quality Control (ISO9002) functionality.
When a WIP processed for invoicing and it has not reached the labour status Check completed, a message is displayed to notice the user that the WIP is selected for Quality Control.
This form is displayed when you click Point of Sale > Quality control (ISO9002).

Order number: Enter the Point of Sale WIP number or use the Ellipsis button
to search for a WIP number. The other fields are populated and available for change.
WIP date: Enter the (estimated) date the work is completed for the WIP.
Registration: Enter the registration of vehicle associated with the WIP.
Mileage: Enter the mileage in of the vehicle at the point of actioning the WIP.
Mechanic: Enter the person who actioned the WIP work task.
Checked by: Enter the person who actioned the Quality checking of the WIP.
Grid:
Code: Question code identifier.
Question: Questionnaire question regards the WIP.
Answer: Selectable response to the question.
Buttons:
Cancel: Cancels the changes to the WIP questionnaire.
Print: Prints the selected WIP questionnaire.
Note: The Print button is only available if the Quality Control (ISO9002) Parameters is populated with a valid format stationary identifier.
Save: Saves the maintained WIP questionnaire.
To add a questionnaire to a WIP:
On the master menu, select Point of Sale > Quality control (ISO9002)
The ISO9002 Maintenance form is displayed.
Enter the new WIP number required or use the Ellipsis button
to select a WIP form the Other orders tab of the Search Order form.
The Select Question Type form is displayed.
Select the Default answer to Yes/No question and double-click the Question type required.
The ISO9002 Maintenance form is displayed and the grid is populated with the question type questions. Also the fields are populated with data of the WIP, if available. The labour status on the WIP is set to QC check in progress.
Complete the fields and double-click the gridline required to change the answer of the question.
Tip: Double-clicking the Yes/No questions switches the available answer to the question. Repeat clicking until the require answer is displayed. When the answer to a question is a date, number or text. Enter the required date, value or text into the Answer field associated with the question.
Click Save.
Stores the changed questionnaire to the WIP and displays a message Did the WIP pass quality inspection?.
Click Yes (The labour status on the WIP is set to Check completed) or No (The labour status on the WIP is set to Failed QC).
The ISO9002 Maintenance form is displayed.
Warning: Ones a questionnaire is assigned to a WIP number you cannot change to another question type.
To amend a questionnaire Of a WIP:
On the master menu, select Point of Sale > Quality control (ISO9002)
The ISO9002 Maintenance form is displayed.
Click the Ellipsis button
to search for a WIP number.
Tip: If the WIP number is known you can enter this number directly into the field.
The Search Order form is displayed.
Select the gridline for the WIP number required and click OK.
The ISO9002 Maintenance form is displayed and the grid is populated with the question type questions. Also the fields are populated with data of the WIP, if available.
Complete the fields and double-click the gridline required to change the answer of the question.
Tip: Double-clicking the Yes/No questions switches the available answer to the question. Repeat clicking until the require answer is displayed. When the answer to a question is a date, number or text. Enter the required date, value or text into the Answer field associated with the question.
Click Save.
Stores the changed questionnaire to the WIP and displays a message Did the WIP pass quality inspection?.
Click Yes (The labour status on the WIP is set to Check completed) or No (The labour status on the WIP is set to Failed QC).
Note: If the WIP is in use by another user, a message is displayed that you cannot select the WIP for quality control until it is released by the person using it.
The ISO9002 Maintenance form is displayed.
To print a WIP questionnaire:
On the master menu, select Point of Sale > Quality control (ISO9002)
The ISO9002 Maintenance form is displayed.
Enter the Point of Sale WIP number or use the Ellipsis button
to search for a WIP number. The other fields are populated and available for change.
The ISO9002 Maintenance form is displayed and the grid is populated with the question type questions. Also the fields are populated with data of the WIP, if available.
Click Print.
Prints or previews the questionnaire.
This form is displayed when you click Point of Sale > Quality control (ISO9002) and use the Ellipsis button
to search for a WIP number.

Tabs:
The Existing Orders tab details the WIPS which have a questionnaire attached.
Wipno: Displays the number of the WIP.
Date: Displays the (estimated) date the work is completed for the WIP.
Registration: Displays the registration number of the vehicle associated with the WIP.
Mileage: Displays the mileage in of the vehicle associated with the WIP.
The Other Orders tab details the WIPS which already have in POS the Final control field selected on the Options tab and are at the status Awaiting final control.
Wipno: Displays the number of the WIP.
Date: Displays the (estimated) date the work is completed for the WIP.
Registration: Displays the registration number of the vehicle associated with the WIP.
