Storage types records define the dimensions and maximum weights for the bin. When receiving parts into stock storage types are used to determine the appropriate bin for the part, based upon bin current occupancy, size and weight.
To display an overview of occupied and free locations per storage type:
On the master menu, select Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Parts > Select SM company (if applicable) > Stock location maintenance > Storage type usage toolbar button 
or Inquiry > Storage type usage menu bar command.
The Overview of Occupied and Free Locations per Storage Type form is displayed.
Select a storage type.
The Results grid is populated with data applicable to the selection.
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Parts > Select SM company (if applicable) > Stock location maintenance > Storage type usage toolbar button or Inquiry > Storage type usage menu bar command.
