The Price file setup routine uploads data to the Autoline system from a remote machine and converts it to the correct format. This routine currently uploads price files, and price mapping files if supplied by the manufacturer, but not supersession files.
To update the price file and price mapping file:
WARNING: The Price file setup routine removes all existing price file records before it converts the new files. Ensure that the new files are in place, that a backup has been taken recently and that no local modifications have been made to the price file records.
The Price file menu is displayed.
The Price file setup form is displayed.
Tip: The Convert mapping files option is selected by default. Deselect this option if you do not want to upload and convert price mapping files.
The system logs onto the remote host machine and transfers the main files into the local directory. If the transfer is successful, the system then converts the files automatically.
Note: If for any reason the upload fails, contact the Media Transfer department.
