Used Vehicle Search Improvements

This form is displayed when you select Used vehicle icon from the Showroom Customer Enquiries form.

This search form contains a Search Criteria panel and a Results panel that gives an overview of the vehicles available for the applicable selection. To view the setup needed to enable this vehicle search options go to Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes–Benz (Company) > Menu – Utilities > Mercedes–Benz parameters and you browse to Sales > + General Showroom parameters > [no. Company name] on the Project parameters browser. Then select the General Parameters II Tab.

Used Vehicle Search Form

File > Exit Exits the Used Vehicle Search form and returns you to the Showroom Customer Enquiries form.

File > Commercial — This search process will only display Commercial vehicles. Switching mode to Passenger will reset the criteria and clear the results panel.

File > Passenger — This search process will only display Passenger vehicles. Switching mode to Commercial will reset the criteria and clear the results panel.

File > Refresh The vehicle search database is checked for vehicles that match the criteria. Results are then displayed in the Results grid. See Results panel

File > Advanced Additional search fields are available for a more detailed search. For more information see Advanced Search
Note: The use of advanced search criteria may impact the search performance.

File > Sort — The default sort order is Days in stock. Results can be sorted by:

Days is stock

Commission number

Description

Registration date

Mileage

Selling price

Location

File > Store — Results can be stored for future reference and as a search agent. For detailed information see Used Vehicle Store Search

File > Reset This function will reset all the search criteria and clear the results grid.

Show — Select the number of vehicles to be displayed in the results grid. The default is 20 vehicles. The Show all option will display all vehicles that meet the criteria.

Edit > Vehicle short list — Easy access to the Vehicle short list form where you can select specific used cars and define a revised sales price for those vehicles.

View > Previous Returns to the starting point of the vehicle search process.

View > Next This menu option is disabled. It will be enabled once a vehicle is selected from the results grid. By selecting the Next button the quotation process starts with the confirmation screen.

Help > Help Displays this help topic in a web browser.

Search Criteria Panel

Commission number: Type the full 10 characters or the last 5 characters of the commission number to search on.

Criteria:

Different search criteria is available for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

For each selection the number of matching vehicles is shown. These results counts are simple counts for the single criteria only. The overall match will be displayed at the bottom of the search criteria panel after executing the search.

Each search criteria option can be expanded or collapsed by clicking on the bold header. If an sub–item has been selected it will still be displayed if that search criteria option has been collapsed.

The available search criteria are:

Commercial vehicles:

Make: All available franchises from Franchise details are listed. The franchises displayed may depend on the user settings as setup on the Vehicle tab in Salesperson Settings. Multiple selections are allowed. The number of matching vehicles is displayed on the right of the selected franchise.

Model: The model criteria can only be expanded if at least one franchise has been selected. All available models for the selected franchises setup in Model codes are displayed. Multiple selections are allowed. The number of matching vehicles is displayed on the right of the selected model.

Body style: All available Body style codes are displayed. Multiple selections are allowed. The number of matching vehicles is displayed on the right of the selected body style.

Cabin: All available cabin types are displayed. Multiple selections are allowed. The number of matching vehicles is displayed on the right of the selected cabin type.

Warranty: Select to only search for commercial vehicles with warranty. If not selected all vehicles (including those without warranty) are included in the search. A vehicles has warranty if the extended warranty code is available on the CRM vehicle record. For Niederlassungen systems the warranty type from the General Showroom parameters is checked. The number of vehicles matching vehicles is displayed on the right of the warranty option.

Wheelbase: Enter the wheelbase (in mm). The number of matching vehicles are displayed on the right of the wheelbase option.

Permissable Weight: Enter the loading capacity (in kg). The number of matching vehicles are displayed on the right of the permissable weight option.

Age: With this option you can select vehicles within a certain year range based on the registration date. A year range can be defined with either only a from year value, only an end year value or a complete year range. All vehicles will be displayed if no selection is made. The number of vehicles matching the year range selected will be displayed on the right of the age option.

Mileage: With this option you can search for vehicles with a specific mileage or within a specific mileage range. The number of vehicles matching the selection will be displayed on the right of the mileage option.

Value (nett): A price range can be defined with either only a starting value, only an ending value or a complete range. The number of vehicles matching the value range selected will be displayed on the right of the value option.

Passenger vehicles:

Make: All available franchises from Franchise details are listed. The franchises displayed may depend on the user settings as setup on the Vehicle tab in Salesperson Settings. Multiple selections are allowed. The number of matching vehicles is displayed on the right of the selected franchise.

Body style: All available Body style codes are displayed. Multiple selections are allowed. The number of matching vehicles is displayed on the right of the selected body style.

Fuel type: All available Fuel types are displayed as setup. Multiple selections are allowed. The number of matching vehicles is displayed on the right of the selected fuel type.

Warranty: Selected to only search for passenger vehicles with warranty. If not selected all vehicles (including those without warranty) are included in the search. A vehicles has warranty if the extended warranty code is available on the CRM vehicle record. For Niederlassungen systems the warranty type from the General Showroom parameters is checked. The number of vehicles matching vehicles is displayed on the right of the warranty option.

Results Panel

By default the results are ordered by the number of days in stock. The sorting order is indicated by a text line on top of the form.

The most right upper column of the grid indicates if the vehicle is on the Vehicle short list. Left click on the column to add or amend the short list details.

If available the picture of the vehicle will be displayed in the first column stretching accross all rows.
