Used Vehicle Search Improvements

This form is displayed when you select Used vehicle icon from the Showroom Customer Enquiries form.

This search form contains a Search Criteria panel and a Results panel that gives an overview of the vehicles available for the applicable selection. To view the setup needed to enable this vehicle search options go to Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes–Benz (Company) > Menu – Utilities > Mercedes–Benz parameters and you browse to Sales > + General Showroom parameters > [no. Company name] on the Project parameters browser. Then select the General Parameters II Tab.

Used Vehicle Search Form

Menu Bar and Toolbar:

Menu bar Toolbar Action
File > Exit Exit.gif Exits the Used Vehicle Search form and returns you to the Showroom Customer Enquiries form.
File > Commercial This search process will only display Commercial vehicles. Switching mode to Passenger will reset the criteria and clear the results panel.
File > Passenger This search process will only display Passenger vehicles. Switching mode to Commercial will reset the criteria and clear the results panel.
File > Refresh Refresh2.gif The vehicle search database is checked for vehicles that match the criteria. Results are then displayed in the Results grid. See Results panel
File > Advanced Details.gif Additional search fields are available for a more detailed search. For more information see Advanced Search

Note: The use of advanced search criteria may impact the search performance.

File > Sort The default sort order is Days in stock. Results can be sorted by:
  • Days is stock

  • Commission number

  • Description

  • Registration date

  • Mileage

  • Selling price

  • Location

File > Store Results can be stored for future reference and as a search agent. For detailed information see Used Vehicle Store Search
File > Reset ResetButton.gif This function will reset all the search criteria and clear the results grid.
Show Select the number of vehicles to be displayed in the results grid. The default is 20 vehicles. The Show all option will display all vehicles that meet the criteria.

Edit > Vehicle short list Easy access to the Vehicle short list form where you can select specific used cars and define a revised sales price for those vehicles.

View > Previous Previous.gif Returns to the starting point of the vehicle search process.
View > Next Next.gif This menu option is disabled. It will be enabled once a vehicle is selected from the results grid. By selecting the Next button the quotation process starts with the confirmation screen.

Help > Help Help2.gif Displays this help topic in a web browser.

Search Criteria Panel

Commission number: Type the full 10 characters or the last 5 characters of the commission number to search on.

Criteria:

Different search criteria is available for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

For each selection the number of matching vehicles is shown. These results counts are simple counts for the single criteria only. The overall match will be displayed at the bottom of the search criteria panel after executing the search.

Each search criteria option can be expanded or collapsed by clicking on the bold header. If an sub–item has been selected it will still be displayed if that search criteria option has been collapsed.

The available search criteria are:

Results Panel

By default the results are ordered by the number of days in stock. The sorting order is indicated by a text line on top of the form.

The most right upper column of the grid indicates if the vehicle is on the Vehicle short list. Left click on the column to add or amend the short list details.

If available the picture of the vehicle will be displayed in the first column stretching accross all rows.
