BE Codes Maintenance

Codes are used by the Bodyshop Estimating system for analysis fields, such as point of impact or vehicle condition. They provide a method of standardising the information imported from the subsystems. For example, the Excellent condition code from Glassmatix and the one from Audatex might be different (making reporting difficult), so they are mapped to the Bodyshop Estimating code for Excellent. This option provides a text description for each code.

To create/edit or delete BE Codes maintenance:

  1. From the Rev. 8 Master menu, select the Bodyshop estimating interface option and then the Company required.

    The BODYSHOP ESTIMATING main menu is displayed.

  2. Select Miscellaneous options.

    The BE MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.

  3. Select the BE Codes maintenance option.

    The Bodyshop estimating codes form is displayed.

  4. Select the categories of BE Code that you want to maintain by using the drop down button Drop-down facility.

    A list of estimating codes is displayed according to the type selected.

  5. Right click on the relevant code in the list.

    The option to create, amend or delete an estimating code is displayed.

  6. Make the relevant changes and click OK to save.

This form is displayed when you select BE Codes maintenance option from the BE MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu.

Type Code: The type you want to maintain is selected by using the drop down button and select one of the following.

Codes: Codes used in all stored estimates.

Description: Text description used in look-ups.
