Vehicle Rentals CRM Records

The Vehicle Rentals module functionality is vastly increased when supported by CRM defaults held against the company, driver and vehicle records. This additional functionality is provided by attaching an extra file to each of the basic CRM company, customer and vehicle records.

Tip: Enable codc1 for the Rental Company form, tadr1 for the Driver Details form and vedv1 for the Vehicle details form; depending upon what system is being used these forms may not necessarily have to be enabled.

To access CRM Vehicle Rental defaults:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Vehicle rentals option and Company required.

    The Vehicle Rentals menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Reservations option.

    The Reservations and Availability form is displayed.

  3. Select the New icon.

    The Open Agreement form is displayed.

  4. Locate the required agreement using the appropriate selection criteria and select the Open command button.

    The Rental Agreement form is displayed.

  5. Select the crm.gif icon.

  6. Select the CRM, Company, Driver or Vehicle menu option as required.

  7. These options may also be accessed directly within the CRM/My Desktop option.

The three key form areas to be set up are as follows:

The company defaults are numerous and allow for powerful functionality and data integrity.

The driver detail form contains information relating to the driving record and insurance details. The key to the record is the driver number which is found on the front of their driving licence.

This form holds important information about vehicle grouping, location and revenue/utilisation statistics.
