Selection of the Overdrive Interface option from the Maintenance Control Main Menu presents the Overdrive Interface Menu. This gives access to a number of options and sub-menus enabling the creation, editing and deletion of set-up tables for the Overdrive interface.

This Broadcast Box is utilised by the System Administrator or ADP Personnel in order to broadcast system messages.
Located beneath and to the left of the Broadcast Box, this is a Menu listing the entire form and sub-menu options available (dependent upon User Priority Levels. Options currently available are as follows:
A sub-menu enabling access to the various Overdrive Import and Exportroutines.
A housekeeping routine to purge the billing file of old records.
Overdrive provide values for existing approvals. However, they have no means of alerting the user of any recharge requirements. This is something that needs to be checked and verified before the payments are processed. Reports can be prepared which match the billing records to existing approvals and warn of any recharges that need to be generated. Approvals that contain a recharge element can be edited within this process so that the correct recharge value and text is shown.
Once the overdrive file is uploaded it needs to be processed. The processing of an item involves matching it against an existing approval, agreeing the value and then posting it both into accounts and also the maintenance history.
The Card File option is used to manually edit an existing card file.
Located beneath and to the right of the Broadcast Box, is a selection of Command Buttons:
Confirms the selected menu option
Exits the current form and returns to the previous form or menu
Provides online context sensitive help information to the user
This option is currently unavailable within the Fleet System. When the Check Box is empty the option is "off". Click on the Check Box (or use the Spacebar) to select or deselect.
On selection a Tab Menu is displayed prompting further selection from a list of utilities. The number of options available in the menu is dependent upon the User Priority Level.
In addition to containing useful tools applicable to the log-in of a particular user, the Administrator contains the following useful functions:
The Electronic Mail system can be linked to a Fax system and to the Internet and also works with Kmail if required.
Individual users may be given different permissions so that they have access to selected options only.
This box displays the default printer and also provides a Change Button that presents a list of alternative printers from which to select.
There are a number of ways to move around the various areas of the system and enter data. A form Navigation help file is available to assist in this task.
