The spend analysis Department mapping allows you to create, amend and delete links between Nominal ledger Departments and CRM departments.
When the Spend Analysis Department Mapping option is taken from the The Miscellaneous Options Menu you will be presented with a Autoline GEDIT form. Use of the gedit form is further explained from the gedit form link in the related topics part of this help file how ever further explanation for the create option will be given here. The form displays two fields which are :-
NL Department Code: This is the Nominal Ledger Department code to which postings are made for specific types of sales. Existing codes already mapped to a CRm department can be selected using the ellipsis .
>CRM Department code: This is the CRM department which relates to the Nominal ledger department selected. The codes which can be selected are those set up in the CRM department codes. Existing codes can be selected using the ellipsis search.
The creation of new Department mapping is started by selecting the create button. You can the click the ellipsis on the NL Department field this will open a form titled Select an NL Department and show a list of NL Departments used on the system. You will then need to click on the required code which will high light it then click on the forms OK button this action will default the selected code into the NL department code field.
The next step in this process is to select the CRM department to which the NL department code relates, again to display a list to select from click the ellipsis and choose the required department.
