The Reset in-use Flags programme is normally run automatically as a Timed Operation. However, occasionally a user can exit the Bodyshop Estimating (BE) module illegally, either because of a power failure, or by switching off their terminal while still logged into the module, or because of some other hardware or software fault. Any files which an operator had open at that time is still recorded as 'in use'. When a stand-alone programme routine is run, it first checks that none of the affected files are being used by another operator. In this situation it is possible that the programme routine records that certain files are still in use when, in fact, they are not.
You therefore need to manually reset the in-use flags. First, verify the present situation by using the Prevent/allow access programme to display a list of current users and then clear any illegal users. Then, run the Reset in-use Flags programme which accesses each of the files and resets the in-use flags.
To access the Reset in-use Flags form:
Warning: This program must ONLY be run only when there are no other users within the Bodyshop Estimating interface.
From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Bodyshop estimating interface option and Company required.
The BODYSHOP ESTIMATING main menu is displayed.
Select the System maintenance option.
The BE SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu is displayed.
Select the Reset in use flags option.
The Reset in use flags (fast) form is displayed.
Tip: To change Company, click the Company button and enter the Company number required.
Click the Reset button.
The in-use flags are reset, and you are returned to the BE SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu.
