File Usage Statistics

This option allows you to monitor the fill status of the data files within each module. The system displays a table of the relevant files within the BE module and, if required, you can print a file listing which provides more detailed information. If any data files appear to be filling up, you must contact Autoline Support for the relevant file to be extended.

Files more than eighty per cent full are highlighted in yellow.

Files more than ninety per cent full are highlighted in red.

To display/print file usage statistics:

  1. From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Bodyshop estimating interface option and Company required.

    The BODYSHOP ESTIMATING main menu is displayed.

  2. Select the System maintenance option.

    The BE SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu is displayed.

  3. Select the File usage statistics option.

    The File Usage Statistics form is displayed.

  4. To print the file usage statistics to the currently selected printer, click the Print button.

File Usage Statistics Form

This form is displayed when you select the File usage statistics option from the BE SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu.. From this form you can display and print file usage statistics.

Module: The Module identifier.

Company: The Company identifier, normally a two-letter identifier.

Data Directory: Details of file usage

For each file, the following details are summarised in a table:

No: The file number.

Sh: The two-character mnemonic short name for the file.

Name: The full five-character name for the file.

Desc: A description of what the file contains.

File Size: The maximum number of records available in the file.

In Use: The number of records in use in the file.

Warn: The file percentage full level at which a warning is displayed.

Index: The percentage usage of the index to the file.

Data: The percentage usage of the data area of the file.
