The API transfer method sends data in chunks or packets. On most systems, a chunk size of 2 048 bytes is normal. The default for AIX is 1 024 bytes, but some AIX systems require smaller chunks.
API copy chunk size
This group is part of the File Transfer Editor. It enables you to select the API chunk size.
Note: This group entirely replaces the FTP login details group box when you select API copy in the General details group's Method field.
API copy sends files by dividing them into smaller packets or chunks. Most systems send files with a chunk size of 2 048 bytes. The default chunk size for AIX is 1 024 bytes, but some AIX systems require smaller chunks.
