Change password

The employee records password record is used to provide additional protection to the employee record data over and above the standard Permissions and Security mechanism used within the Autoline package.

All employee record users have access to this option, it enables you to change your own employee record password. If you need to change another users employee record password this may only be performed by a priority 8 employee records user - usually the payroll or Human Resources manager or by a user within the Password option on the System maintenance menu.

Note: Password details are set up by your payroll or Human Resources manager or Autoline consultants. If you are unsure what to do, contact your payroll or Human Resources Manager in the first instance.

To access your password record:

  1. From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Employee records option and Company you require, normally there is only one global company number 00 and you will not be prompted for a company.

    The Employee records password form is displayed.

  2. Enter your employee records password.

    The EMPLOYEE RECORDS menu is displayed.

  3. Select the Miscellaneous options option.

    The PE MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.

  4. Select Change password option.

    The Change password form is displayed.


Change password Form

The change password form is displayed when you select the Change password option from the PE MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu. From this form you can maintain password details.

Old password: Enter your existing password, only if you enter the existing password correctly may you continue to enter a new password.

New password: Enter your new password.

Repeat password: Enter your new password a second time. If you enter the new password again differently to the first time the new password was entered the OK button will not be editable in which case you should re-enter the new password twice again.

Click OK once the new password has been entered twice as the same password and the OK button is editable.
