Bank Holidays

The option allows for bank holiday dates and descriptions to be set up for pre-defined regions and year numbers and then to be used within the calendar system.

The main function of the bank holiday records is to create calendar entries for bank holidays based on the region the employee is based in when either first creating a personnel record or when a holiday year end is run.

To access the Bank Holidays:-

  1. From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Human Resources option and Company you require.

    The Human Resources Password form is displayed.

  2. Enter your human resource password.

    The HUMAN RESOURCES menu is displayed.

  3. Select the Human Resources option.

    The Human Resources record is displayed.

  4. Once a human resource record is selected or initially chosen for creation select the Tools option.

  5. Select the Lookup tables option.

  6. Select the Bank Holidays option.

    The Bank Holidays form is displayed.


Bank Holidays Form

The Bank Holidays form is displayed when the Bank Holidays option is selected from the Tools, Lookup files menu.

Standard functionality exists that allows you to create and maintain records.

The data can be maintained further by using the Insert row, Delete row and Add row ICONs.

Year: The four digit year number selected by using the left and right arrows or by direct keyboard entry.

Region: A two character region code, standard codes supported with an Auto generation facility are:

Tip : Click on the Drop down DropDown to select.

Date: The bank holiday date.

Description: A 30 character optional description.

Automatic generation of bank holiday dates

Clicking the Generate button will automatically generate the bank holidays for the selected year and region although for Scotland and Northern Ireland a message will be shown advising that there will be additional bank holidays to be entered. Special bank holidays such as Jubilee are not automatically generated but can be manually added.
