Max/Min Profile

The Max/Min profile displays a bar chart that shows the effect of setting various values within the Max/Min calculation.

Note: Changes to Safety coefficients, Lead time and Days between orders on the product group or re-order category will not take effect until the Generate Max/Min Levels program is run.

To generate a max/min profile:

  1. From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Stock management option and Company you require.

    The STOCK MANAGEMENT menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Miscellaneous options option and click OK.

    The SM MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.

  3. Select the Max/min profile option.

    The Max/Min Profile form is displayed.

  4. Complete the form.

Max/Min Profile Form

The Max/Min Profile form is displayed when you select the Max/Min Profile option from the SM MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu. From this form you can generate a max/min profile.

Complete the following fields:

Average monthly demand: Enter the Average Monthly Demand (AMD).

Days between orders: Enter the number of days between orders. A days between orders value is held on three different records on the Autoline system. For a full description of the order of preference in which the system accesses records, refer to the topic Max/Min Calculation.

Lead time: Enter the lead time in days. A default lead time is held on four different records on the Autoline system. For a full description of the order of preference in which the system accesses records, refer to the topic Max/Min Calculation.

Date last run: Enter the date that the Generate Max/Min Levels program was last run.

Demand since then: Enter the demand since the date last run.

Coefficient: Enter the safety coefficient in the range 0-9. A safety coefficient is held on two different records on the Autoline system. For a full description of the order of preference in which the system accesses records, refer to the topic Max/Min Calculation.

Select one of the following radio buttons:

Note: The following field is only displayed when you select one of the Vary options.

Step: Enter the increment between the starting monthly demand and the finishing monthly demand.

PUSH BUTTONS:

Refresh: Refreshes the chart with any new criteria you have entered.

Exit: Returns you to the SM MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu.

Help: Displays help on the current application using the default browser.
