The sort/print discounts facility should be used whenever new discount codes are entered into the discount map. The system will re-sort the discount map and any discount tables resident in the discount map.
When you run the program, you are given the option to sort the discount tables, print the tables, or sort and print the tables, for a selected discount group. When you have sorted the tables, it is then necessary to amend each table within the discount map, and enter the relevant discount/mark-up values against the new codes. This must also be done for any purchase discount tables.
Warning: Due to the complexity and volume of discount codes and tables within certain franchises, it is recommended that this is only done after a back up has taken place or, alternatively, under the guidance of support staff, when you are able to take copies of the data files concerned prior to sorting the tables.
To sort/print discounts:
The POINT OF SALE menu is displayed.
Select the System maintenance option.
The SO SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu is displayed.
Select the Sort/print discounts option.
The Sort/Print Discount Codes form is displayed.
Enter the Discount group to be sorted.
Select one of the following radio buttons:
Sort only
Print only
Sort and Print
Click the Proceed button.
The system re-sorts the discount group.
Note: You must now amend each table within the discount map and enter the relevant discount/mark-up values against the new codes. This must also be done for any purchase discount tables.
The Sort/Print Discount codes form is displayed when you select the Sort/print discounts option from the SO SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu. From this form you can sort and/or print discount tables.
Discount Group: Enter the discount group (A-Z) to be sorted.
Tip: A list of valid options is available from the drop-down menu.
Select one of the following radio buttons:
Sort only: Sorts the discount tables.
Print only: Prints the discount tables.
Sort and Print: Sorts and prints the discount tables.
PUSH BUTTONS:
Exit: Returns you to the SO SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu.
Help: Displays help on the current application using the default browser.
Proceed: Sorts and/or prints the discount tables for the selected discount group.
