Holiday Planner (If installed)

The Holiday planner will display all your current resources, that have any planned holidays and any authorized absences. The Holiday planner is updated from each of your individual resources calendars when you make any adjustments to it through the Resource availability option in WORKSHOP LOADING MENU or from Edit availability option in the Day form via Point of sale.

Date title row

The Title row displays the day and the date for the day.

Title column

The Title column displays the Description name from the Resources file.

Editing the Holiday Planner grid : To amend the record for a day or selection of days you may use either a left-click or a right-click in the appropriate sector.

Range group

Select one of the following radio buttons.

Short: Changes the grid display in line with the Short range field in the WL System Parameters.

Long: Changes the grid display in line with the Long range field in the WL System Parameters.

Calendar group

The calendar represents the date on the Holiday Planner grid. If you select a date the grid will move accordingly putting the date at the beginning of the grid. The calendar will always default to today's date.

Shifts group

Allows you to filter the resources shown in the Holiday planner grid by shift pattern.

Teams group

Allows you to filter the resources shown in the Holiday planner grid by teams.

Note: You can also filter out the teams if you have one set in your operator record.

Note: All the Adjusted availability reasons created by the user will also be displayed here in their relevant colours.

Editing the Holiday planner

Within the day

  1. Right-click the required date in the resources grid.

  2. Select the option adjusted availability from the pop-up menu.

  3. Select an unavailability reason from the drop down menu.

  4. Left-click in the grid for the required time, or right-click and select Unavailability from..., right-click at the end of your selection and select to.... This will then highlight your selection with the availability reason colour.

  5. Click Save to save your adjustments and return you to the Holiday planner grid. Your adjustment on the day will be highlighted in Yellow to indicate an adjustment has been made.

Tip: More than one unavailability reason can be saved against a resource. This will be indicated in the Holiday planner grid in Yellow with an asterisk indicating more than one reason exists.

On the day

  1. Left-click the required date in the Holiday planner grid.

  2. Select the reason from the Why? form, and click OK. This will then set your grid selection to the Adjusted availability reason colour.

  3. Click Save to save your adjustments made to the Holiday planner.

More than one day

  1. Right-click in the sector that will mark the start of the range and select Available from here... or Un-available from here... from the pop-up menu.

  2. Right-click in the sector that will mark the end of the range and select ...to here.

  3. Select the reason from the Why? form, and click OK. This will then set your grid selection to the Adjusted availability reason colour.

  4. Click Save to save your adjustments made to the Holiday planner.

Tip: The Holiday planner can be accessed from the tool bar in the Load form in Workshop loading.
