In order for technicians to be able to clock on to unproductive work, a series of idle time codes can be defined in the Workshop Loading idle table. Each idle time record contains a Code, a Description and a Shortname.
What do you want to do?
The Idle Times form is displayed when you select the Idle times option from the WORKSHOP LOADING Menu. From this form you can create, amend or delete idle time records.
Idle time details
Order: Displays the order of the records.
Note: By default all records are sequenced in alphabetical order.
Code: The idle times identification code used in the range A-Z or 0-9.
Description: A description of the idle times, a 30 character alpha-numeric field.
Shortname: a 5 character alpha-numeric field.
PUSH BUTTONS
Exit: Returns you to the WORKSHOP LOADING Menu.
Help: Displays help on the current application using the default browser.
Create: Allows you to create a new idle time record.
Amend: Allows you to amend an idle time record.
Delete: Allows you to delete an idle time record.
Sequence: Allows you to determine the sequence in which idle time records are displayed.
If required, you can create an idle time record.
To create an idle time record:
From the WORKSHOP LOADING Menu, select the Idle times option.
The Idle Times form is displayed.
Click the Create button.
The Create form is displayed.
Enter the Code, the Description and the Shortname.
Click the OK button.
The record is created.
The Create form is displayed when you click the Create button from the Idle Times form. From this form you can create a new idle time record completing the data fields and editing the Idle time grid.
Field Descriptions
Code: Enter an appropriate code in the range A-Z or 0-9.
Description: Enter the description of the idle time, a 29 character alpha-numeric field.
Shortname: Enter the shortname, a 5 character alpha-numeric field.
Productive idle time: The flag will denote whether or not the idle code is considered to be part of productive time or not. I.E training would have a value of YES and sitting idle with nothing to do would have a value of NO.
Analysis code: This field is used purely for RepGen.
PUSH BUTTONS
OK: Applies any changes to the Idle Times form.
Cancel: Cancels the operation and returns you to the Idle Times form.
If required, you can amend an idle time record.
To amend an idle time record:
The Idle Times form is displayed.
Position the cursor over the record that you want to amend, and click the Amend button.
Tip: Alternatively, double-left click the record to select it. The Amend form is displayed.
Amend the details as required.
When you have completed your amendments, click the OK button.
The changes are saved, you are returned to the Idle Times form.
The Amend form is displayed when you click the Amend button from the Idle Times form. From this form you can amend idle time records.
Tip: Alternatively, position the cursor over the record that you want to amend, and double-click the left mouse button.
