GM Warranty (V2) provides for claim creation at Point-of-Sale (POS), and implements payment returns integration into the Manufacturer Systems module of Autoline. This software is Revision 8.30.0000 plus only.
Note: This help system describes GM Warranty V2, and Payments, for Autoline Revision 8.30. If you are using Revision 8.20, you have obtained the wrong help files. In that case, please contact your System Administrator. This documentation assumes you are familiar with standard, Point-of-Sale functionality.
Claims are created as you invoice the job, rather than in Manufacturer Systems later. So all the information is available to the claim creator. This should facilitate claim creation.
Search facilities are available on the claim interface for trouble codes, item types, and case type codes.
Line types for the main job, supplementary items, and net items, can be defaulted to their appropriate settings automatically, but you can still edit them.
You can add trouble codes at the point of invoice, or select them from TIS 2000 database.
Corrections, denials, and payments, are imported from the DCS directly into the Warranty system, and the claims updated.
You can post payment files from the Warranty program directly to the Sales Ledger. This should save large amounts of time every two weeks in posting individual claims.
With format stationery set up, UK and Swiss customers can have the claim number added to the invoice.
Updates to the Payments import and to the posting process help to make the import process easier to use and more accurate at recording the payments within Autoline.
Warranty claim creation now allows the creation of part numbers for keys.
The updated Claim Payments interface helps improve user-friendliness.
The main Warranty claims form in Manufacturer Systems now has a Close claim button.
Before you can use GM Warranty and Payments, you must ensure that the Autoline system is set up correctly. This is normally carried out by, or on advice from, an Autoline consultant.
