General Marketing Parameters

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer-specific > MB. Mercedes-Benz > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to + Marketing parameters > + General Marketing Parameters > [Company] on the Project parameters browser.

Tabs:

General Tab

Fields are displayed, depending on the the selected company.

Communication:

E-mail Marketing: Enter the Autoline User ID or the mail address, which is used in the Communication module to send an e-mail after a file was sent.


Follow up time mandatory: Select to force completion of the Time field of the Followup details for a contact record.

Include CRM team superiors: Select to include CRM team superiors above level 0 into the team statistics. The field Include superior(s) in the team’s statistics is then available on the Modify team form of Team Management for Team levels higher then 0.

Warning: When this is done for superiors of multiple teams, it can lead to double statistics reporting at higher levels.

Second VIN number: Select to store and search on the VIN number (next to the standard chassis number) in Showroom, Points of Sale, Vehicle Stockbooks and CRM forms. FIN is the European chassis number and VIN is the US chassis number. Within the VSB and Showroom forms you can toggle between the VIN and FIN number.

MK Book-in:

Use ORDSTAT: Select to make also the vehicles available, where the progress code of the vehicle is higher than the Showroom system parameter Vehicle on order progress code, in the Book In Vehicles program of CRM. This identifier is unavailable for company MB - Mercedes-Benz.


CCS:

Communication type: Enter a communication type to enable the functionality in CRM campaigns for both the export and import function. This parameter is only visible on Autoline environments where the nation is set to "Germany" and it can only be entered in the actual CRM companies and not in the company "MB - Mercedes-Benz".

Note: This communication type must first be created which will allow users to transfer the file straight to the desktop and, where it is configured, will start up the default Internet browser to transfer the file.


Complaints:

Last complaint number: Displays the sequence number that is generated per Autoline instance. The number is not company dependent.

FollowUp Editable: Select, if you want to edit the complaint details when Follow up contact type is Normal. Standard this is only possible when the contact is a complaint (type C).


Diary Print:

Diary print format: Enter the format name which will print the contacts and follow-ups for the user within the diary print selection for the date specified. The overdue contacts and follow-ups (which are shown in the displayed version of the CRM diary), as well as completed contacts, will not be included in this print. (Format MS.MBP may be used)


Cost Centre of Contact Type:

Source of Cost Centre: When a follow-up is created and the cost centre of the current contact and of the current sales executive is different, this parameter is checked to determine which cost centre should be used. The two possible sources for the Cost Centre of the follow up contact are:

Database Cleansing:

Show customer account: Select to activate the functionality to show the sales ledger account number in combination with the customer name in the De-duplication utility of customers. If no customer account is attached to the marketing record, the wording "A/C empty" will be displayed instead of the account number and if the AOI account open interface is installed and an account has an external code attached, the external code is used instead of the account code.

CRM Campaigns:

Activate CSV import: Select to activate the CSV import option in CRM campaigns. The Tools > Import CSV file menu option will be enabled when a campaign is loaded. The CSV import functionality only imports the first column which must contain a numeric value. This numeric value is checked against the Autoline customer magic number.

Activate advanced selections: Select to activate the advanced selection criteria in CRM campaigns. It can be accessed from the Tools > Advanced Campaign Selection toolbar option on the CRM Campaign form or via the menu option CRM main menu > Reports and enquiries > Enquiries menu > Advanced Campaign Selection. If selected the menus will be available.

Demo bookings:

Notes mandatory: Select to set the comments field in Customer Demonstration Vehicle Booking form to be mandatory.

Note: The Loan vehicle booking parameter Auto complete ‘Now’ test drives? must be set to "Yes".


NDL Specific Tab

The NDL specific tab is not available for the MB - Mercedes Benz company.

Business type settings:

Priority to change business type: Select the priority required to change the business type. Valid values are <1-9>.

Marketing settings:

Copy BT number: Select to use the display and copy of BT numbers (MB internal number) in the CRM Search form of customers and companies.

Tip: Click a customer or company in the Search form and the BT number is displayed in the bottom left corner of this form. Right-click a customer or company, a shortcut menu is displayed, click Copy MB internal no. to copy the numbers to the clipboard. The BT numbers are maintained in the MB internal customer number field of the General tab of the Mercedes-Benz specific company information form or the Mercedes-Benz specific customer information form.

CRM Contact Code Highlighting Grid:

This grid contains all available contact codes for the selected company. Here the highlighting of diary lines for specific contact codes can be set.

Contact Code: Displays the contact code.

Description: Displays the description of the contact code.

Use Bold: Select to define that the Contact code is to be highlighted (displayed in bold) in CRM.

Note: Selecting the Use Bold option for a specific contact code, activates the highlighting of diary lines for all users regardless of colours and fonts otherwise defined.
