Point-of-Sale
The Service Point-of-Sale (POS) interface allows you to start the ASSYS Interface from a WIP. This topic assumes that you are familiar with the operation of Point-of-Sale and ASRA G05.
Note: The chassis number on the vehicle record must be complete without any spaces or full stops.
To use the ASSYS Interface from the Point of Sale module, you must:
- Create a new WIP
- Load a vehicle onto a WIP.
- To start the ASSYS Interface, you have two possibilities. Both are explained below:
- Select the ASSYST option from the Reports menu. It is also possible to activate the ASSYST Interface by selecting the ASSYST button from the Mercedes-Benz Overall view screen.
- The MB-WIS Assyst screen is opened.
Both options, selecting or de-selecting the Background call parameter, are explained below:
ASSYST Call without background parameter selected
- Selecting the ASSYST button without the Background call parameter ticked will start the WIS / ASRA Interface.
- The information from the MB-WIS Assyst screen is taken over to the ASSYST screen of the WIS / ASRA program.
- From the ASSYST screen it is possible to go to ASRA and select the required items to build a shopping list.
- After you have created a shopping list, click the Save button.
Select the OK button from the Shoppinglist save screen and DO NOT change the offered name from the parameters!
- When the shoppinglist is saved, it is automatically loaded in the Workshop Information System Interface screen.
- Deselect any items that you do not want to load onto the WIP.
Tip: All items are selected by default. To deselect or select an item, click the Load column. Ensure that a tick symbol appears against any items that you want to load.
- Click the Load to Wip button. The system loads the selected labour items onto the WIP.
- You can now process the WIP in the normal way.
ASSYST Call wit background parameter selected
When enough information is entered in the MB-WIS Assyst screen, it is possible to perform the background call. The background call will retrieve the labour information for the selected vehicle without having to select them from WIS / ASRA.
- Tick the Background call parameter on the MB-WIS Assyst screen.
- Select the ASSYST button from the MB-WIS Assyst screen.
- The Retrieving ASSYST information screen is displayed.
- When the background call has been succesful, the retrieved lines are automatically loaded onto the WIP.
