Using Menu Pricing Packages

Menu pricing is a process of grouping labour-items and parts-items together for the means of identifying packages of work / parts that can be carried out on a specific vehicle model-variant.

Autoline's Point Of Sales (POS) system utilise's the Menu pricing data making the population / completion of Work in Progress (WIP) tasks easier.

Verification of valid menu packages is defined within the menu package header at specific vehicle levels and is determined by usage of From chassis number and To chassis number range checking.

Selecting a vehicle on the Point of Sales Work in Progress (WIP) Starts a search of all Menu packages, any found to have a chassis number that is within the Menu package chassis range is deemed as being valid for the vehicle and as such the Menu package is listed.

Note: Before the Menu pricing system can be used within Point of Sales it must have been setup and the provided menu packages imported via Manufacturer systems.

Mercedes-Benz Menupricing Form

This form is displayed when you click Point of Sale > Point-of-sale > Service > New product ellipsis [...] > Menus.

Menu Bar and Toolbar:

Menu bar Toolbar Action
File > Save to WIP Save.gif Stores the selected menu package(s) to the current POS Work in Progress (WIP) task.
File > Exit Exit.gif Return back to the menu Point of Sales WIP entry form.

Select/Deselect F6 Tick.gif Selects or clears a specific menu package line in the grid.

Details F2 MileageUpdate.gif Opens the Menupricing details form to display a menu package summary or to make on the spot changes for the current WIP.

Pricing F3 Opens the Package price calculation form to display the fixed price of the menu or to make an on the spot change to the fixed price for the current WIP.

Toggle VAT F4 Toggles between inclusive or exclusive VAT as displayed in the grid.

Import F5 > SPPS Import3.gif Displays any SPPS Shoppingbasket details for the selected vehicle.
Import F5 > Ascii import Imports the complete menu packages file of Daimler dealer in request.

Select All F7 Selects or clears all menu package lines displayed in the grid.

Maintenance > Create package Adds a new menu package to the file.
Maintenance > Modify package Changes the details of an existing menu package.

Settings > POS-company parameters> System.gif Opens the Menu pricing parameters form to display the details or make changes.
Settings > Region matrix System.gif Opens the Menupricing Regions form to display the details or make changes.

Current Vehicle:

Chassisnumber: Displays the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and engine number of the vehicle assigned to the Point of Sales Work in Progress (WIP).

Model description: Displays the vehicle description of the vehicle selected on the WIP.

Value: Value of the selected package ready for save to WIP.

Search filters:

Baumuster: Displays the baumuster and the model description if a vehicle is selected on the WIP, else you can type (part of) the baumuster to filter to search on.

Search filter: Type (part of) the description you want to filter the selection for.

Dammage code: : If the Campaign packages field is selected, you can filter the selection on (part of) the damage code entered.

Option Buttons:

Valid Packages Grid:

This displays the valid packages that meet the selections of the search filter. Per package the menu code, availability message (such as: UnknownParts - Parts existing which are not known in the price file or stock file, Backorder - Parts existing that are not on stock, Number - How many times this package can be sold), menu description, calculated total menu price and if applicable fixed menu prices (including the description of this fixed price menu).

Note: Informative message are displayed in the grid to aid clarification and menu packages that cannot be sold are displayed in red.

Valid Packages Grid Shortcut Menu:

Select/deselect menu-package: Selects or clears a specific menu package line in the grid.

Select menu-package and save to WIP: Selects and stores the menu package gridline on the WIP. Reverse package (negative quantities): Selects the menu package and changes the labour and part lines to negative quantities.

Menu-package details: Opens the Menupricing details form to display a menu package summary or to make on the spot changes for the current WIP.

Pricing: Opens the Package price calculation form to display the fixed price of the menu or to make an on the spot change to the fixed price for the current WIP.

Return: Returns to the grid.

Tip: Right-click in the grid to open the shortcut menu.

View Available / Valid Packages For Vehicle.

With the vehicle pre-entered from within the Point of Sales WIP, accessing Menu pricing automatically lists all available and valid menu packages for the WIP entered vehicle.

If the vehicle is not pre selected in the Point of Sales WIP.

  1. Clicking the Baumuster ellipsis displays the Baumuster search form.

  2. Enter the vehicle identification filter criteria.

  3. Pressing the key board Tab button starts the search for valid packages for the vehicle identification filter.

  4. Upon search completion a list of the available and filtered packages is displayed.

Filter Available Packages

The filter process allows for the refinement to the standard / automated vehicle package selection.

  1. Clicking the Baumuster ellipsis displays the Baumuster search form.

  2. Enter the vehicle identification filter criteria.

  3. Pressing the key board Tab button starts the search for valid packages for the vehicle identification filter.

  4. Upon search completion a list of the available and filtered packages is displayed.

Select Packages For Saving To WIP

With the MenuPricing forms valid packages area populated.

  1. Clicking the required package highlights it as ready for selection.

  2. Clicking the Select / deselect Tick.gif toolbar button flags the highlighted menu package as being available for saving to a WIP

    Note: Right-click the last column of the selected package to at the payment code, if applicable.

  3. Repeat stages 1 and 2 as required.

Clear Packages For Saving To WIP

With the MenuPricing forms valid packages area populated and packages selected for saving to a WIP.

  1. Clicking the package that is no longer required to be saved to a WIP, highlights it as ready for de-selection.

  2. Clicking the Select / deselect Tick.gif toolbar button flags the highlighted menu package as being unavailable for saving to a WIP.

  3. Repeat stages 1 and 2 as required.

View SPPS Shopping Basket

  1. Clicking the SPPS Import3.gif toolbar button displays the Menu package error message.

  2. Clicking the Abort button returns to the main menupricing form without displaying any SPPS information.

  3. Clicking the Continue button displays the Menu package message and lists any SPPS price details found.

Save Package(s) To WIP

  1. Clicking the Save to WIP Save.gif toolbar button transfers the parts / labour lines from the selected packages into the Point of Sales WIP.

Note: The menus will be preceded by the menu-header. Via settings, it can be decided what character should be inserted for the code.
Taking a lower-value character for the menu-header the menu-header automatically will be sorted as the first line of a menu-package when printing the WIP in menu-style.
The selected payment code per selected menu-package will be followed by a number starting by 1 on which already existing payment codes will be skipped.
