System Maintenance

This topic explains the role and operation of options on the Asset Register System Maintenance Menu.The System Maintenance menu is for housekeeping and overall maintenance of the Asset Register. The options are:

This topic introduces and describes the options on the AR System Maintenance Menu. With the exception of the End of year process option, these options all relate to the overall operation of the Asset Register. They should be used only by the System Manager or other authorized person with appropriate access priority.

Menu options which are not described in this topic are the following:

Create files, Verify Files, and File Usage statistics.

This is because they either require high user access priority [in some cases priority 9] or are not covered in the scope of accounts on-line help.

To display the System Maintenance Menu, select the System maintenance option from the Asset Register Menu; this option may not be available to users with a low access priority.

To exit from this Menu back to the previous one, select the last option - Return to menu - or use the ESC key.
