Pick Control Pickers Maintenance

The Pick control pickers file holds the name, and up-to-four-digit code, of the warehouse picker that picks parts from the bins in their various locations and zones. These zones and locations are set up in the SM Miscellaneous Options menu within Stock Management module.

Note: The Picker user id on this file must exist as an Operator code in the POS operators file before you create, amend, or delete, a Picker code.

To create, amend, or delete, Pick control pickers' details:

  1. From the Autoline Master Menu, select the Point of sale option, then the Company.

    The POINT OF SALE Main Menu is displayed.

  2. Select Miscellaneous options.

    The SO MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS Menu is displayed.

  3. Select Pick control pickers.

    The Pick control pickers form is displayed.

    What do you want to do?

    Note: Clicking Cancel during any one of the following three options, cancels the process without saving any changes. Clicking Exit returns you to the SO MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS Menu.

Pick Control Pickers Form

This form is displayed when you select Miscellaneous options from the POINT OF SALE Main Menu, then the Pick control pickers option. It enables you to maintain the picker codes and user ids of the pickers working in the warehouse.

Picker code: An up-to-four-digit code representing a warehouse picker that picks parts from the bins. Selection of this code displays the corresponding Picker user id.

Note: Clicking on the ellipsis [...] button enables you to perform a search of the codes.

PICK CONTROL PICKERS:

Picker user id: Identity of the picker, who must also be set up as an Operator in the POS Operators file.

PUSH BUTTONS:

Create: (Two buttons.) Create the parts picker details.

Amend: Amends the parts picker details

Save: Saves amended parts picker details. Not enabled or displayed until you click Amend.

Confirm: Not used

Delete: (Two buttons.) Delete the parts picker details

Creating Parts Picker Details

To create parts picker details:

  1. From the Pick control pickers form, click Create.

    This enables a second Create button and the Cancel button.

  2. Type in a value between 1 and 9999 in the Picker code field, then press the TAB key.

    The cursor moves to the Picker user id field.

  3. Type in a picker user id.

    (This must match an Operator code held in the POS Operators file.)

  4. Press the TAB key, then click the second Create button.

    The parts picker details are created. Clicking Exit saves the details.

Amending Parts Picker Details

To amend parts picker details:

  1. From the Pick control pickers form, type in, or select, the Picker code whose details you want to amend. Press the TAB key.

    Tip: Clicking the ellipsis [...] button enables you to search for codes and user ids.

    The id of the picker you typed or selected, in the Picker code field, is displayed in the Picker user id field. The Amend, and Delete buttons are enabled.

  2. Click Amend.

    A Save button is enabled and displayed.

  3. Edit the Picker user id as required, press the TAB key, then click Save.

    The parts picker details are amended and saved.

Deleting Parts Picker Details

To delete parts picker details:

  1. From the Pick control pickers form, type in, or select, the Picker code whose details you want to delete, then press the TAB key.

    Tip: Clicking the ellipsis [...] button enables you to search for codes and user ids.

    The id of the picker you typed or selected, in the Picker code field, is displayed in the Picker user id field. The Amend and Delete buttons are enabled.

  2. Click Delete.

    A second Delete button, and the Cancel button, are enabled.

  3. Click the second Delete button.

    The parts picker details are deleted. Clicking Exit saves the changes.
