This option enables you to update the Parts Delivery Control file, from within Point of Sale (POS). It is only available when a WIP is loaded with a route code on the WIP header and a part number that is in a Zone (bin) that has had a picking slip generated.
A picking slip must also have been printed for a part or parts recognised by bin zones. (Default route codes can be set up in the Sales Ledger Accounts.)

Within Point-of-Sale, this procedure updates zones, confirming that all parts in a zone have been picked.
To update, from POS, the control data for one or more zones:
From the Autoline Master Menu, select the Point of sale option, then the Company.
The POINT OF SALE Main Menu is displayed.
Select the Point-of-sale option, then Parts.
The Operator form is displayed.
Enter your Operator code, and Password if one exists, and click OK.
The Parts Point of Sale form is displayed.
Note: It is no longer possible to select Links > Picking control without first loading the WIP.
Load the WIP for which you want to update the control data for one or more zones.
The WIP details are displayed. The option Links > Picking control is enabled on the menu bar.
Select Links > Picking control.
If a Pick control record exists, and can be updated, the Pick Control Maintenance form is displayed. If not, a message is displayed.
In the Update pick control data group-box, type the letter of the Zone to be updated, then the number of the Picker that picked the parts from the warehouse bins. Then press the TAB key.
The zone Status is set to I in the Zones group-box.
Click OK.
The zone Status is set to X on the Pick Control Maintenance Form, and the WIP is saved.
Note: The overall status of the Delivery Control record is also set to I and the WIP automatically invoiced, if this is the only zone on the WIP. This also happens if there is more than one zone and if all those other zones are already at I status. If the WIP is invoiced, all the statuses are changed to X.
The Delivery acc types field on the Main Tab of Main-Tables-Fastrack is found in the POS Parameters in SYSTEM MAINTENANCE. The values in this field determine whether the Sales Ledger account uses the delivery note functionality.
If the Sales Ledger account on the WIP has a Delivery acc type as set up in POS Parameters, a delivery note must be printed prior to an invoice.
The invoice can then only be printed if each zone line entry in the Edit Order Form is set to I status.

An invoice can be printed from:
the Edit Order Form (prints a single invoice for the WIP that you are editing)
the Parts Delivery Control Form (prints mass invoices)
