Parts and labour:
Part count: Number of parts used to carry out the repair
Note: If a kit is the only part used, enter the letter K, not 1. If an assembly is used in the repair, enter the letter A not 1, even though other parts are used in the repair. The program automatically calculates the number of parts used by totalling the quantity fields for the parts on each case. If the case is labour only, leave the part count blank.
Failed part number: Number of the part which failed or was the cause of failure
Note: This is the part number listed on the material requisition and must be a genuine GM part number. If it is an exchange unit, R must precede the part number. This field should be left blank for labour-only cases. The program automatically uses the part number that was flagged on the Parts or Labour Tabs.
Parts price: Total cost of material used in the repair at Wholesale Dealer prices (net prices applicable at work completion date, plus the current handling charge)
Trouble Code: Trouble code that most accurately describes the failure
Tip: You can click the Ellipsis button
to display a list of valid Trouble codes.
Labour Operation: Labour operation code as shown on the Labour Time Guide
Note: This must be entered, irrespective of whether or not labour hours are claimed. The program automatically uses the RTS code from the major labour item.
Labour hours flag: S if the hours being claimed relate to a paint job, T if they contain an additional allowance for physically repositioning the vehicle and setting it up in the workshop
Labour Hours: Standard time labour hours
Other hours: Add/combination times not marked with an asterisk on the microfiche labour time guide, or authorised time in excess of published times
