The application status map is used to control the update of both the applicant and vacancy status when each recruitment stage is performed.
The application status map may only be updated by a priority 8 user, this is usually the human resources manager.
Warning: The application status map should never be changed once the recruitment system is used without first checking with an Autoline consultant.
To access the application status map :-
The Human Resources Password form is displayed.
Enter your human resource password.
The HUMAN RESOURCES menu is displayed.
Select Recruitment processing option.
The RECRUITMENT PROCESSING menu is displayed.
Select Application status map option.
The Application status map form is displayed.
The Application status map form is displayed when you select the Application status map option from the RECRUITMENT PROCESSING menu. From this form you can set up and maintain applicant and vacancy status codes for each recruitment stage.
Initial status: The current recruitment status prior to performing a recruitment process stage, for example, when logging a vacancy or applicant or further down the recruitment process when at interview stage. An * may alternatively be entered to indicate any status.

Action: The type of action to be taken for an applicant during a recruitment stage. There are three pre-defined options to choose from as follows:-
S: Select.
R: Reject.
H: Put on hold.
Application selection: The type of applicant may be defined in order to vary the resulting applicant and vacancy status when carrying out an action based on the initial status. There are five pre-defined options to choose from as follows:-
*: Any.
T: This vacancy - the applicant has specified a particular vacancy which is being processed.
O: Other vacancies - the applicant has specified a different vacancy to the vacancy being processed.
C: Cold application - the applicant has not specified a vacancy.
N: Not a cold application - the applicant has specified a vacancy.
Internal: Indicates if the applicant is one of the following :-
I: Internal - the applicant is an existing employee with a human resource record.
E: External - the applicant is not an existing employee.
*: Both internal and external applicants are included.
Application status: The new status of an applicant record and an applicant/vacancy record having carried out the recruitment action for a particular starting status and on a particular applicant. This is used when not on the final interview stage.

Vacancy status: The new status of a vacancy record having carried out the recruitment action for a particular starting status and on a particular applicant. This is used when not on the final interview stage.

Check map: Using the check map button will validate the application status map to check that for every initial status there is a route to the end status. The end status is an application status that may be purged. If the application status map validates a message is shown - Status map is complete, if the map is however incomplete one of many errors will be shown. Any errors need reporting to an Autoline consultant before starting to use the recruitment system.
