Vehicle Age (Used) Stock Value Report

This report lists all used vehicles with an accounts status of A for adopted which are older than the specified cut-off date (input at run time), and have a cost other than zero. It is in Franchise code order and within that it is sequenced by the date that the vehicle came in to stock (SINVDATE). If there is more than one vehicle with the same date in to stock then it is sorted by vehicle stock number.

At the end of the report, in addition to the total for each age break, there is also a total of all ages. The value is calculated on the sum of the following system fields:

ADJSTOCK: Adjusted stock value
NRCOST(1): Non-recoverable cost - occ 1
NRCOST(2): Non-recoverable cost - occ 2
NRCOST(3): Non-recoverable cost - occ 3
COSTS(1): Other costs - occurrence 1 normally mechanical preparation
COSTS(2): Other costs - occurrence 2 normally body work preparation

This assumes that the system parameter Usage of adjusted stock in profit calculation is set to R for revised or written down value. If this is set to A for adjusted amount, that is the value that has been written off, then this report will need a user defined alternative where the adjusted stock value is calculated on the sum of STOCK, stock value and ADJSTOCK.

In addition to this data, the registration number is printed in the extreme right hand column.

The data printed is as follows:

The age of the vehicle is calculated based on the date input at the prompt Input ageing cut-off date minus the date in to stock and, conditional on that age, the stock value is placed in one of the columns as follows:

Current	Age < 10 days
10-20 day	Age >= 10 days and < 20 days
20-30 day	Age >= 20 days and < 30 days
30-60 day	Age >= 30 days and < 60 days
60-90 day	Age >= 60 days and < 90 days
90-120 day	Age >= 90 days and < 120 days
120 + day	Age >= 120 days

To produce a Vehicle Age (Used) Stock Value Report:

From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Vehicle stockbooks option and the Company required.

The VEHICLE STOCKBOOKS menu is displayed.
Select the Reports & enquiries option.

The VS REPORTS AND ENQUIRIES menu is displayed.
Select the Report generator option.

The REPORT GENERATORmenu is displayed.
Select the Run report generator option.

The Report selection form is displayed.
Select the K16 Vehicle age (Used) stock value option from the drop-down list and click OK.

The Vehicle age (Used) stock value form is displayed.
Complete the form and click OK.

The report is compiled and output in the selected format.

Vehicle Age (Used) Stock Value Form

This form is displayed when you select the K16 Vehicle age (Used) stock value option from the drop-down list on the Report selection form and click OK.

Output type: Select an output type for the report from one of the following:

Print: Prints the report to the currently selected printer

Display: Displays the report

HTML: Outputs the report to file in Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML) format, to be viewed via the default browser

Note: The default setting for Output type is Display.

Input ageing cut-off date: Input ageing cut-off date, or use the ellipsis button to search for a date

PUSH BUTTONS:

OK: Outputs the report in the selected format

Cancel: Returns you to the REPORT GENERATOR menu

Help: Displays help on the current program using the default browser

Schedule: Displays the Timed Operations scheduler (not enabled when the output type is set to Display)

Add to batch: Displays an Add report to batch form in which a report may be batched for printing in a report group (not enabled when the output type is set to Display)
