The Reports and enquiries option gives access to the standard printed reports and enquiries. There is one exception, the Log File Search. This is driven by Report Generator. This feature does not cover the report generator or ad-hoc enquiry facilities.
In addition the first two options, Report generator and Ad-hoc enquiries, can be used, subject to permissions and security, to design and extract user defined enquiries, reports, charts, graphs, labels, documents and PC export files.
Report generator: Enables you to create your own reports from any combination of the fields on your records, instead of being forced to depend on a few standard reports. You can select the ones that meet your individual day-to-day requirements, or you can create special reports which will solve particular problems as they arise.
Ad-hoc enquiries: Activates the VS Enquires menu. Some pre-set Ad-hoc enquiries will be already set up on this menu.
Log file enquiry: Enables you to view the vehicle transaction log file (vslog) with the option to specify a vehicle stock number and/or a batch number as selection criteria.
Log file search: This is similar to the log file enquiry but provides three major differences:
Greater selection criteria.
Output can be directed to screen or printer.
Output contains some additional data.
Master Posting Tables (New): Enables data from the new vehicle master posting table to be printed.
Master Posting Tables (Used): Enables data from the used vehicle master posting table to be printed.
Fully paid stock report: Produces a list of all new vehicles in stock with an accounts status of A and where a value in one or more of the ex-factory cost fields. The report is produced in model code sequence and within model by stock number.
Print deal sheets: Enables you to print deals that exist on the system. You may select New, Used or both, also a range of dates for the invoices.
Consignment stock report: Enables you to print a list of all new vehicles in stock with an accounts status of C and where there is value in one or more of the ex-factory cost fields. The report is in model code sequence, and within model by stock number. The data printed consists of:
Vehicle stock number
Manufacturer's reference
Chassis number
Vehicle description
Consignment cost
Delivery cost
Car tax
Total of the three previous values
Used vehicle stock report: Produces a list in model code sequence, and within model by stock number. The data printed consists of:
Vehicle stock number
Vehicle description
Registration number
Date first registered
Purchase date
Allowance price(purchased price)
Adjusted stock value (SIV)
Reconditioning costs
Other costs
Total of the three previous values
New vehicle aged stock value: Lists all new vehicles with an accounts status of A or C, also an ex-factory cost other than zero and where the adoption date is less then than the cut-off date (input at run time).
Used vehicle aged stock value: Lists all used vehicles with an accounts status of A, which are older than the specified cut-off date (input at run time), and have a cost other than zero.
Aged vehicle debtors report: This report combines data from both the sales ledger and the new and used vehicle stock books relating to vehicle invoices with outstanding balances. It is sorted by age then by stock number. New vehicles are printed before used vehicles. The data printed consists of:
Vehicle stock number
Salesman
Sales ledger account number
Customer name (taken from the new or used vehicle field NAME as opposed to the sales ledger account name)
New vehicle profit report: This is written using report generator to provide record selection criteria and sequencing. With format stationery more than one line of printed data for each record output can be printed. It is sorted by Franchise, then by model, by variant and by invoice date.
Used vehicle profit - retail: This is written using report generator to provide record selection criteria and sequencing. With format stationery more than one line of printed data for each record output.
Used vehicle profit - trade: This is written using report generator to provide record selection criteria and sequencing. With format stationery more than one line of printed data for each record output.
Used passenger car VAT report: Provides the data required by customs and excise. It is written using report generator to provide record selection criteria and sequencing. With format stationery to provide more than one line of printed data for each record output. It is sorted by vehicle stock number.
