Analysing the Database

During the first stage of the routine, the Autoline system scans the marketing database for Volvo vehicles and carries out an analysis to see which ones need to be updated and the reason why. This analysis is presented in the form of a Vehicle Load Status Summary.

To analyse the database:

1. From the VOLVO UK OPERATIONS menu, select the Vehicle load option.

   The VOLVO VEHICLE LOAD menu is displayed.

2. Select the Convert vehicle data option.

   The system prompts you for the Point-of-Sale (SO) company.

3. Select the SO company and click OK.

   The Volvo Vehicle Load form is displayed.

4. From the File menu select the Analyse database option.

   A dialog box is displayed with the following message:

   Analysis complete

5. Click the OK button.

   The Statistics and Summary tabs are displayed.

6. You can now print an exception report if required, or update the database.
