UVS-In (Used Vehicle Suite Interface) is the common Daimler owned used-vehicle database for the European dealerships. This database includes the data of all used vehicles, franchise as well as non-franchise vehicles, commercial vehicles as well as non-commercial vehicles. The UVS-In form is used to view, add or amend the UVS-In vehicle details.
What do you want to do?
This form is displayed when you click, one of:
Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Sales > Menu - UVS-In > UVS-In interface to display the UVS-In - Monitor form > and you double-click on a vehicle in the grid.
Vehicle Stockbooks from the Main menu > Vehicle Administration > and you open an used vehicle > and you select Franchise > Additional details from the menu bar to display the UVS-In form.

Grid:
Description: Displays the field descriptions of the column contents.
Actual UVS-In content to be sent: Displays the values of the UVS-In contents that will be sent to UVS-In.
Current UVS-In content: Displays the current UVS-In contents in UVS-In from the last transmission.
UVS-Out content: Displays the vehicle contents from UVS-Out.
VSB content: Displays the vehicle contents from the Vehicle Stockbooks.
This column contains the field descriptions for the contents within the columns: Actual UVS-In content to be sent, Current UVS-In content in UVS-In, UVS-Out content and VSB content.
Note: All values in this column can be changed as long as they are not blocked from modification in the Set mandatory or advisable fields form.
Used vehicle: Displays the used vehicle number, location, dealer number, vehicle description, chassis number and the registration.
VEHICLEDATA:
Note: Right-click on the regarding field to enter or change a value.
UVS-In status: Displays/select the UVS-In status.
- Status N: A trade-in vehicle or when a used vehicle is taken into stock, the vehicle will be sent to UVS-In with status N = New UVS-In vehicle.
- Status X: When a change have been made to the vehicle in stock, this change will be sent to UVS-In and the vehicle will get the status X = Change to UVS-In vehicle.
- Status V: When the vehicle is sold to a customer, the vehicle will be signed out to UVS-In and will get automatically the status V = UVS-In vehicle is sold.
Reservation before invoicing: Displays/select the booking status.
VAT vehicle: Displays/select VAT status.
Model branch: Displays/select model branch code.
Info only MB family (sparte): Displays the sparten code and type description of the sparte.
Note: To change the sparte on the selected vehicle, right-click on the field to display the Search for MB-family (Sparte) form.
Model variant: Displays/enter the model variant description.
Bodycode: Displays/select the body code.
Number of doors: Displays/select the number of doors.
Colorcode and description: Displays the colorcode and description.
Field Options:
Note: Right-click on the line to display the field options.
- Change paint-description: Enter a new paint description.
- Change paint-code: Displays the Select Upholstery, Paintcolor or Equipment form to select a new paint code.
- Exit: Returns you to the UVS-In form.
Note: The options Change/add paint-mapping and Move mapped paint-code to UVS-In are only availabe in the VSB content column.
Trimcode and description: Displays the trimcode and description.

- Change upholstery-description: Enter a new trim description.
- Change upholstery-code: Displays the Select Upholstery, Paintcolor or Equipment form to select a new trim code.
- Exit: Returns you to the UVS-In form.
Note: The options Change/add trim-mapping and Move mapped trim-code to UVS-In are only available in the VSB content column.
Left steering: Displays/select the steering side.
Engine type: Displays/select the fuel type code.
Engine power: Displays/enter the KW of the engine.
Cylindercapacity: Displays/enter the cylinder capacity.
Transmission type: Displays/select the type of transmission.
Mileage: Displays/enter the mileage.
Mileage exchanged engine: Displays/enter the mileage of the exchange engine.
Trade-in date: Displays/enter the trade-in date of the vehicle.
Date technical inspection: Displays/enter the date of the last technical inspection.
Date emmission inspection: Displays/enter the date of the last emmission inspection.
Construction date: Displays/enter the construction date of the vehicle.
Registration date: Displays/enter the registration date of the vehicle.
Customer type: Displays/select the customer type.
Previous number of owners: Displays/enter the number of previous owners.
Transaction type: Displays/select the transaction type.
Type of usage: Displays/select the type of usage of the vehicle.
Warranty: Displays/select the warranty type.
Used-car-warranty: Displays/enter the number of month that the warranty is in effect.
Finance product: Displays/select the finance product.
Total condition: Displays/select the vehicle condition code.
Total tyre condition: Displays/select the tyre condition code.
Previous damaged: Displays/select a damage code for the vehicle.
Remark(1): Displays/enter any additional remark for the vehicle.
Remark(2): Displays/enter any additional remark for the vehicle.
New vehicle price: Displays/enter the new vehicle price.
Offerprice internet: Displays/enter the offer price of the vehicle in the internet.
Offerprice NO VAT: Displays/enter the offer price of the vehicle in the internet without VAT.
Salesprice to dealer: Displays/enter the sales price to the dealer.
Actual preparation cost: Displays/enter the actual preparation cost of the vehicle.
Cartax: Displays/enter the cartax.
Horsepowertax: Displays/enter the new horsepower tax.
Invoice date: Displays/enter the invoice date of the vehicle.
Salesprice: Displays/enter the sales price of the vehicle.
Salesprice NO VAT: Displays/enter the sales price of the vehicle without VAT.
Trade-in price: Displays/enter the trade-in price of the vehicle without VAT.
Date of last change: Displays/enter the date of the last change of any contents in the Actual UVS-In content to be sent column.
OPTIONS ON VEHICLE:
This section displays all attached options to the vehicle.

TRUCK SPECIFIC DATA:
This section displays specific data for trucks.
Note: This section only displays any data if a truck is selected in the UVS-In-Monitor form.

Suspension type: Displays/select the suspension type.
Drive line-configuration: Displays/enter the drive line-configuration.
Maximum total weight: Displays/enter the maximum allowed total weight.
Loading capacity: Displays/enter the loading capacity of the vehicle.
Cabin code: Displays/select the cabin code.
Body length (mm): Displays/enter the body length in mm.
Body width (mm): Displays/enter the body width in mm.
Body height (mm): Displays/enter the body height in mm.
Body volume (liters): Displays/enter the body volume in liters.
Body volume (cm3): Displays/enter the body volume in cm3.
Body code: Displays/select the body code.
Wheelbase (mm): Displays/enter the wheelbase in mm.
Body length (mm): Displays/enter the bodlengthht in mm.
Truck condition:
Cabin condition: Displays/select the the cabin condition.
Body condition: Displays/select the the body condition.
Frame condition: Displays/select the the frame condition.
Aggregate condition: Displays/select the the aggregate condition.
Condition electric: Displays/select the the condition of the electric.
Condition brakes: Displays/select the the condition of the brakes.
PICTURES TO BE PUBLISHED:
This section displays any pictures that are attached to the vehicle and provided for publishing.
Note: The maximum number of pictures is defined in the UVS-In Export parameters.
Picture field is empty:
Right-click on a picture field to display the Select Vehicle Picture form and to select a picture.

Note: Right-click on the regarding field to enter or change a value.
Note: The Add picture and Paste picture option is only available if the Copy picture options was used on an existing picture before.
This section displays the UVS-In vehicle data in UVS-In of the last successful transmission.
Note: The values are not edit able.
Used vehicle: Displays the last successful transmission date and time together with the actual status in UVS-In.
This column displays relevant vehicle information as found in the UVS-Out archive.
Note: It is possible to copy UVS-Out information to the Actual UVS-In content to be sent column. When data is available, it is displayed as information in this column and the Copy UVS-Out button is active.
Used vehicle: Displays a message if UVS-Out information is found in the UVS-Out archive.
Because normally not all standard UVS-Out vehicle options are valid to advertise, the vehicle options needs to be moved separately.
On an initial new vehicle, the system shows the UVS-Out-options when UVS-Out data is found in the archive.
OPTIONS ON VEHICLE:
This section displays the options from the UVS-Out archive.
Note: Right-click on a vehicle option to display the field options.
Options:
This column displays information from the vehicle record in the Vehicle Stockbooks.
Note: It is possible to copy selected values automatically from the VSB column to the Actual UVS-In content to be sent column by selecting the regarding values in the Always VSB column within the Set mandatory or advisable fields form.
Two fields in this column contain a field option:
Colorcode and description: Displays the paint code and the description.

Trimcode and description: Displays the trim code and the description.

Note: Please check the section Change paint mapping as example how to map the existing code to a new code.
To create the export file manually:
Click on Create export file.
The export file is created in the export directory as specified un the UVS-In Export parameters.
Note: The Create export file button is only available when the export communication type has been defined in the UVS-In Export parameters.
Note: Vehicles at status On hold are not exported and pictures are only exported if the Include pictures option is selected.
Note: The export file can also be generated automatically via Timed operations.
To transmit the selected vehicle to UVS-In:
Click on UVS-In-online.
Note: The UVS-In on-line button is only enables if all data is correct and all fields that are set to mandatory in the Set mandatory or advisable fields form are filled.
The status of the transmission is displayed as information at the bottom of this form.
To copy UVS-Out information to UVS-In contents:
Click on the Copy UVS-Out button.
Note: The Copy UVS-Out button is only enabled if UVS-Out information are available in the UVS-Out archive.
All UVS-Out information displayed in the UVS-Out contents column are copied to the Actual UVS-In contents to be sent column.
Note: The UVS-Out options in the OPTIONS ON VEHICLE section must be copied manually.
To select an upholstery code in the Actual UVS-In contents to be sent column:
Right-click on the Trimcode and description field in the VEHICLEDATA section.
Select the Change upholstery-code option.
The Select Upholstery, Paintcolor or Equipment form is displayed.
Select the regarding trim code from the list.
Click on Select.
The Trimcode and description field is updated with the selected value.
Click on Save to save the updated value on the UVS-In vehicle details.
To change the paint mapping in the VSB content column:
Right-click on the Colorcode and description field in the VEHICLEDATA section.
Select the Change/add paint-mapping option.
The Select Upholstery, Paintcolor or Equipment form is displayed.
Select the regarding paint code from the list.
Click on Select.
The Existing mapping found form is displayed.
Select the OK to change field of all lines to map the selected paint code to the existing paint code.
Note: All lines are selected by default. Remove the line selection if a specific lines must not be updated.
Click on OK.
The actual paint code is mapped to the selected paint code.
To set specific fields to mandatory or advisable:
Click on UVS-In Setup.
Select Mandatory fields from the menu.
The Set mandatory or advisable fields form is displayed.
Click in the fields within the Mandatory or Advisable column to select the as mandatory or advisable.
Click on Save
The UVS-In form is displayed.
Click on Save
Note:It is neccessary to reopen the UVS-In form to make the changes available.
Note: All fields that are set to mandatory must be filled with data before it is possible to sent the selected vehicle to UVS-In. For all fields set to advisable that do not contain data, a warning is displayed that the field is empty but it is still possible to continue.
To set a vehicle to status on-hold:
Click on Set on-hold.
The vehicle status is changed to on-hold
Note: As long as the vehicle status is set to on-hold it is not possible to create an export file or the transmit the vehicle to UVS-In. If the vehicle must be transmitted to UVS-In, click on Set off-hold.
