When a used vehicle becomes available in the system, any current data is made available. However, not all of the information may have been entered. This will influence the value of the vehicle. The UVS-In system is used to complete all mandatory fields, for example colour, excessive mileage, reconditioning needs. This enables you to decide what the correct value of the vehicle is.

The UVS-In (Used Vehicle Suite) form can be displayed via Vehicle Stockbooks or via Manufacturer Systems:
Click Vehicle stockbooks > [no. Company name] > Vehicle administration > File > Vehicle > Used Vehicle stock followed by File > Open select the used vehicle you require and click File > Load. The Vehicle Administration form will be redisplayed with the used vehicle details in the form fields. Click Franchise > Additional Details. The UVS-In (Used Vehicle Suite) form is displayed.
Or, click Manufacturer Systems > Menu - Sales > Menu - UVS-In > UVS-In interface, double-click the gridline of the vehicle required. The UVS-In (Used Vehicle Suite) form is displayed.
When the UVS-In interface-data form is accessed from Vehicle Stockbooks. It is used to enter mandatory information that may change the value of the car.

VSB company - vehiclenumber: VSB company code followed by the vehicle number.
Current UVS-In-status: Current UVS-In status of the vehicle.
Next status to release: UVS-In status the vehicle will change to when it is transmitted.
Note: The status of a record is automatically updated from the UVS-In system. When a vehicle was never sent before, the Current UVS-In-status field is empty. The Next status to release field is set to N New Trade in. When a vehicle is sent the Current UVS-In status field is set to N New Trade in and changes the Next status to release field to status NONE. When a vehicle is modified after sending it to Mercedes-Benz, the UVS-In program picks up the changes and changes the Next status to release field to status X Modification. When a vehicle is invoiced the Next status to release field is changed to status V Invoiced. A UVS-In-status change can only be done via Vehicle Stockbooks.
Tabs:
The Identification tab contains the identification and condition details of the vehicle in the Marketing section . The details can change the value of the vehicle, for example, total condition and condition of tyres.
Marketing:
Model: The model code of the vehicle.
Chassisnumber: The chassis number of the vehicle.
Registration number: The registration number of the vehicle.
Registration date: The date the vehicle was first registered.
Mileage (km): The mileage of the vehicle.
Technical inspection: The date the last technical inspection took place.
Trade-in date: The date the vehicle was traded-in.
Previous owners: The number of previous owners.
VAT registered: The vehicle VAT registration status (Y/N).
Sparte: Vehicle Make, the Branch is separated into two parts:
- The first part is the Baumuster branch of the Baumuster, available in the UVS-In B158DAT file.
- The second part is the UVS-In Manufacturer ID of the Chassis prefix - available in the Chassis prefixes file.
Note: If the Branch can be determined for a vehicle, the UVS-In reference data (Baumuster dependent) is used. Otherwise the standard UVS-In tables are used.
Depending on the Branch (Sparte field) the available (descriptions of) colors, trim and option codes on the Color and Options tab of the UVS-In interface-data form are different.
Pre-damage: Select if the vehicle was damaged before and type the details of any damage found on the vehicle at the technical inspection.
Note: The values in the Marketing details area are not editable, they can only be changed via the CRM and/or Vehicle stockbooks module.
UVS-In Details:
Customer type: Select the type of customer who traded in the vehicle.
Trade-in code: Select the type of trade-in. For example, free sale or commission.
Type of usage: What the vehicle was used for. For example, private.
Vehicle type: Type of vehicle. For example, passenger vehicle.
Body code: Select the body code of vehicle. For example, sedan, 5-door.
Production date: Date the vehicle was built.
Total condition: Select the overall condition of the vehicle.
Condition of tyres: Type the overall condition of the tyres in percentage.
Mileage ATM: Maximum mileage before the vehicle engine must be replaced.
CC/[Kwatt] or [HP]: Engine capacity of the vehicle.
Left steering: Select in case the vehicle has left-hand steering.
Engine type: Displays the type of fuel the vehicle uses.
Transmission: Displays if the transmission of the vehicle is manual or automatic.
This tab contains all data concerning Prices and Costs of the vehicle.
Original new-price: Price the car was sold for when new.
Display price: Price of the car without any accessories.
Nett offering price: Nett price the car is offered at.
Dealer to dealer price: Price of the car if sold directly to a dealer.
Internet offer price: Price if the car is sold via the internet.
Minimum salesprice: Minimum price the car may be sold for.
Nett trade-in price: Nett price the vehicle was been traded in for.
Repair costs: Cost to repair the vehicle before selling.
Reservation before invoicing: Indicates if the vehicle was reserved before being invoiced.
Warranty on this vehicle: Type of valid warranty the vehicle has:
- N No Guarantee
- M MB European Guarantee
- T Smart European Guarantee
- C Chrysler/Jeep European Guarantee
- J Dealer or independent Guarantee
- S Young stars
Number of months warranty: Numbers of months the warranty is valid for.
Note: This field is not editable if No Guarantee is selected
Sold:
Date of invoice: Date the vehicle was invoiced (sold).
Sales price (inclusive VAT): Price the vehicle was sold for.
Net selling price: Nett price the vehicle was sold for (excluding VAT).
This tab contains details of commercial vehicles.
Suspension type: Type of springs used in the suspension. For example, pneumatic or steel.
Drive line config: Universal joints, drive shaft and other parts connecting the transmission with the driving axles.
Max total weight: Maximum total weight of the vehicle and load it carries.
Payload: Maximum weight of the load the vehicle carries.
Cabin: Type of cabin. For example, double cab or top sleeper.
Cabin condition: The condition the cabin is in.
Bodywork condition: The condition the body work is in.
Frame condition: The condition the vehicle frame is in.
Alternator: The condition the alternator is in.
Electronics condition: The condition the electronics are in.
Brakes condition: The condition the brakes are in.
Body Mass:
Body mass length 1: Type length 1 of the vehicle body mass.
Body mass length 2: Type length 2 of the vehicle body mass.
Body mass height 1: Type height 1 of the vehicle body mass.
Body mass 2 (litres): Type the litres of the vehicle body mass.
Body mass 3 (cm3): Type the cm3 of the vehicle body mass.
Wheelbase: Horizontal distance between the center of the front tyre and the center of the back tyre.
Individual Tyres Condition:
G: Indicates if the tyres are G load tyres. (Used for heavy vehicles).
E: Indicates if the tyres are E load tyres. (Used for smaller commercial vehicles).
1: Condition of the front set of tyres. (One. field for left tyre, one field for right tyre). (Enter a percentage).
2: Condition of the second set of tyres. (One field for left tyre, one field for right tyre). (Enter a percentage).
3: Condition of the third set of tyres. (Only used for heavy vehicles. 2 fields for left set, 2 fields for right set). (Enter a percentage).
4: Condition of the fourth set of tyres. (Only used for heavy vehicles. 2 fields for left set, 2 fields for right set). (Enter a percentage).
5: Condition of the fifth set of tyres. (Only used for heavy vehicles. 2 fields for left set, 2 fields for right set)(Enter a percentage).
UVS-In-Colorcode: Select a colour of the vehicle in the Select UVS-In Trim/Color code form or type the code directly in the field.
UVS-In-Trimcode: Select a trim of the vehicle in the Select UVS-In Trim/Color code form or type the code directly in the field.
Options Grid:
VSB-Code: Vehicle Stockbooks code of the special option.
UVS-In-Code: UVS-In code of the special option.
Description: Description of the special option. For example, power windows.
NOT-UVS-In: If selected, the option code is unknown, not assigned or the description is blank for the specified code.
Options Grid Shortcut Menu:
Assign the UVS-In-option: Assigns UVS-In Options to the Vehicle.
Delete the UVS-In option for UVS-In: Deletes UVS-In Options of the Vehicle.
Undo deletion: Undoes Deletion of UVS-In Options of the Vehicle.
Exit: Closes the shortcut menu.
Buttons:
Add options: Opens the Assign UVS-In-options form to add special options to the vehicle details which are not in VSB.
Available Vehicle Pictures:
Maximum file size: Displays the parameter setting of the file size.
Maximum files to publish: Displays the parameter setting of the files to publish.
Maximum allowed resolution: Displays the parameter setting of the allowed resolution.
Grid:
Picturename: File name of the picture.
Size: Size of the picture file.
Publish: Based on the displayed sequence the picture is submitted to the internet. One of:
1: Normally the vehicle driver side.
2: Normally the vehicle front passenger side.
3: Normally inside the vehicle.
4: Normally a special option picture.
Current: Based on the displayed sequence the picture is currently visible on the internet.
Format: The width and height (resolution) of the picture.
Grid Shortcut Menu:
This menu is available when pictures are linked the the UVS-In record.
Publish picture as the > Main picture (normally the driverside): The sequence of the pictures is now displayed in the Publish column.
Publish picture as the > Main picture (normally the substitite-driverside): The sequence of the pictures is now displayed in the Publish column.
Publish picture as the > 3rd picture (normally the inside): The sequence of the pictures is now displayed in the Publish column.
Publish picture as the > 4th picture (normally an unique option): The sequence of the pictures is now displayed in the Publish column.
Remove the publish-indicator: Clears the Publish field of the selected gridline.
Exit: Closes the shortcut menu.
An already added new trade-in vehicle can only be deleted from the UVS-In database and not via Vehicle Stockbooks. If you do this, it will not be transmitted to the UVS-In database.
To delete a record:
Or, click Manufacturer Systems > Menu - Sales > Menu - UVS-In > UVS-In interface, select the gridline of the vehicle required and click OK.
Select D Delete in UVS-In from the Next status to release field.
The UVS-In record status will be changed to Delete in UVS-In.
Click File > Save and Exit or .
The record will be deleted from the UVS-In database when the export is run.
Note: Deletion is done due to cancellation of a purchase or changes of the chassis number. The selected vehicle is only deleted from the UVS-In database.
An already added new trade-in vehicle can only be cancelled from the UVS-In database and not via Vehicle Stockbooks. If you do this, it will not be transmitted to the UVS-In database.
To cancel a record:
Or, click Manufacturer Systems > Menu - Sales > Menu - UVS-In > UVS-In interface, select the gridline of the vehicle required and click OK.
The UVS-In (Used Vehicle Suite) form is displayed.
Select Z Cancellation from the Next status to release field.
The UVS-In record status will be changed to Cancellation.
Click File > Save and Exit or .
The record will be cancelled in the UVS-In database when the export is run.
Note: Cancellation is done due to cancellation of a sale.
