The Send Letters Tab facilitates the selection of predefined campaign letters which combined with the selection of vehicles enables the production of the customer letterers for the campaign identified vehicles.
Note: Vehicles must be selected via the Vehicles awaiting service tab before letters can be produced.
What do you want to do?
This tab is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Service > Menu - Service campaigns > New service campaigns module > Send Letters tab.
Menu Bar and Action:
Menu bar | Action |

File > New | Create a new Campaign. |
File > Open | Opens an existing campaign. |
File > Import | Imports a campaign from manufacturer interface. |
File > Delete | Deletes a campaign. The campaign is NOT recoverable. |
File > Exit | Returns you to the Menu - Service campaigns. |
Maintain > Edit | Maintains the selected campaign. |
Maintain > Save | Saves all data of the campaign. Only available if the Campaign is in edit-mode. |
Maintain > Cancel | Cancels the maintenance of a campaign. Only available if the Campaign is in edit-mode. |
Vehicle > Add | Opens the CRM module to select a vehicle. |
Vehicle > Move | Moves a selected vehicle to the Vehicles not serviced Tab. The move selected vehicles form opens to give a reason why the vehicle is not serviced. |
Vehicle > Remove | Deletes selected vehicles from the campaign. |
Options > Print | Prints details of the campaign. |
Options > Letters | Creates or maintains letters for the campaign. |
Options > History | Displays the letter history of the campaign. |
Options > Send to DAG | Exports details of the campaign to DAG. |
Options > Settings | Opens the Settings form. Here you can set parameters and maintain tables. |
Help > Help | Displays this help topic in a web browser. |
Help > About | Displays version and copyright information. |
Fields:
Unique ID: System generated unique campaign identifier.
Created: Date the campaign was created.
Description: Description of the campaign.
Fields:
Letters: Letter identifier.
Example: Display area for the selected letter and vehicle.
: Vehicle identification Number.
Buttons:
<: Navigate to the previous selected vehicle.
>: Navigate to the next selected vehicle.
Create CSV: Create a CSV file of the selected vehicles and customer details for potential mail merge.
To view letters for a vehicle:
Having selected the vehicles for letter production using the Vehicles Waiting For Service Tab creates the listing of the available campaign letters.
Clicking the required letter provides a display of the letter that will be produced for the selected vehicle within the Example area.
To create a CSV file:
Click the Create CSV button.
The Enter filename form is displayed.
Complete the fields and click OK.
The Add Marketing Contacts message is displayed.
Click Yes.
The Add Diary Entry message is displayed.
Click Yes.
The Diary Entry form is displayed.
Complete the fields and click OK.
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Service > Menu - Service campaigns > New service campaigns module > Send Letters tab > Create CSV button.
Field:
File name: Name of the CSV file to be created.
Buttons:
Save file local: Indicates that the created CSV file is to be created on the local server.
OK: Accepts and processes the creation of the CSV interface and displays the Add Marketing Contacts message.
Cancel: Cancels creation of the CSV interface.

Warning: Do you wish to add marketing contacts?
Buttons:
Yes: Creates Marketing contact records for the customer and displays the Add Diary Entry message.
No: Cancels adding of marketing contacts and displays the Add Diary Entry message.

Fields:
Date: Date the Diary Entry is to be activated.
From: Time the Diary Entry is to start.
To: Time the Diary Entry is to be actioned by.
Text: Defines the type of diary action the is to be progressed.
Buttons:
OK: Adds a Diary entry to CRM
No: Cancels the entry of a Diary entry.
