New Service Campaigns Module

The Dealer and Manufacturer campaigns system is integrated with the Point of Sales and CRM systems and enables

A dealer campaign is mainly used for marketing purposes and as a very easy way to send serial letters to customers.

If the Dealer option is selected in the Create new campaign form, manufacturer specific functions are unavailable

Manufacturer Campaigns are mainly sent by the manufacturer with files that are imported via the Import button. It is also possible to create a Manufacturer campaign manually.

Note: Make sure the Manufacturer is aware that you are creating a new manufacturer campaign. Especially if warranty claims are involved.

Dealer and Manufacturer Campaigns Form

This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Service > Menu - Service campaigns > New service campaigns module

Menu Bar and Action:

Menu bar Action
File > New Create a new Campaign.
File > Open Opens an existing campaign.
File > Import Imports a campaign from manufacturer interface.
File > Delete Deletes a campaign. The campaign is NOT recoverable.
File > Exit Returns you to the Menu - Service campaigns.

Maintain > Edit Maintains the selected campaign.
Maintain > Save Saves all data of the campaign. Only available if the Campaign is in edit-mode.
Maintain > Cancel Cancels the maintenance of a campaign. Only available if the Campaign is in edit-mode.

Vehicle > Add Opens the CRM module to select a vehicle.
Vehicle > Move Moves a selected vehicle to the Vehicles not serviced Tab. The move selected vehicles form opens to give a reason why the vehicle is not serviced.
Vehicle > Remove Deletes selected vehicles from the campaign.

Options > Print Prints details of the campaign.
Options > Letters Creates or maintains letters for the campaign.
Options > History Displays the letter history of the campaign.
Options > Send to DAG Exports details of the campaign to DAG.
Options > Settings Opens the Settings form. Here you can set parameters and maintain tables.

Help > Help Displays this help topic in a web browser.
Help > About Displays version and copyright information.

Fields:

Unique ID: System generated unique campaign identifier.

Created: Date the campaign was created.

Description: Description of the campaign.

Tabs:

Campaign Tab

The campaign tab consists of

Campaign header information:

Manufacturer: Vehicle manufacturer code. This field is not editable.

Valid from: Effective start date for the campaign.

Package number: Number of the menu, part or labour line used in the campaign.

Last updated: Date the campaign was last maintained. It is updated automatically when the manufacturer sends an update file.

Valid until: Effective end date for the campaign.

Until date valid: If selected, the date in the Valid until field is mandatory.

Marketing companies: Select or clear a company for a campaign. In edit-mode this is final and all linked vehicles are removed from the campaign. In view-mode it has no effect on the Status Report tab.

Note:If a company is cleared, all vehicles linked to this company are removed from this campaign as well.

Point of Sales: If selected, a check is carried out on this service campaign when a vehicle is loaded in Point of Sale.

Note: In a Dealer campaign the box is not selected as default. In a Manufacturer campaign, the box is selected as default.

Warranty code: The relevant warranty code.

Campaign letter information:

These fields directly affect Campaign letters. When creating a letter, the correct name and department appear automatically on the printout.

Retreive from: The marketing company that the following fields retrieve their information from.

On behalf of: Department on which behalf the campaign is created.

Contact type: The contact code of contact target connected to the vehicle.

Owner: Owner or the performer of the campaign.

Receiver letter: The first receiver of the letter.

Note: If no marketing record is available for the first contact, the letter is sent to the second receiver. If no record exists for the second receiver, the third receiver will get this letter.

Manufacturer details:

Note: This section is only available if the campaign is a Manufacturer Service Campaign.

Action: Indicates the location that is responsible for writing letters..

Campaign ID: Select the campaign kind.

Damage code: Indicates the damage code associated with the campaign.

Code word: Unique number sent from the Manufacturer.

TGA: Indicates the TGA Code for the Damage Code.

Warranty: If selected, warranty is claimed.

Time needed: Indicates the maximum allowed work time, if warranty can be claimed.

Parts needed: Indicates the maximum number of Parts allowed in case warranty is claimed.

Chassis ranges:

This part gives the possibility to set ranges and enter several vehicles for this campaign.

From: Effective start chassis range number.

Until: Effective end chassis range number.

Prefix: Effective chassis prefix selection criteria.

Note: The red-coloured Prefix indicates that vehicles are selected inside the indicated range, the green-coloured Prefix indicates that vehicles are selected outside the indicated range.

Tip: In the Chassis ranges you can either enter all the characters or replace some with a star.

Engine ranges:

This part gives the possibility to set ranges and enter several vehicles for this campaign.

From: Effective start Engine range number.

Until: Effective end Engine range number.

Prefix: Effect engine prefix selection criteria.

Note: The red-coloured Prefix indicates that vehicles are selected inside the indicated range, the green-coloured Prefix indicates that vehicles are selected outside the indicated range.

Tip: In the Engine ranges you can only enter numbers. Other characters are not allowed.

Buttons:

Chassis: Searches the marketing database for vehicles that match the indicated chassis number range.

Engine: Searches the marketing database for vehicles that match the indicated engine number range.

Maintaining a Campaign

Having accessed the required campaign, selecting the Edit Tools.gif toolbar option changes the Dealer and Manufacturer Form into maintenance mode

Saving the Maintained Campaign

Having accessed and maintained the campaign selecting the Save Save.gif toolbar option saves the maintained campaign.

Deleting a Campaign

Having accessed the required campaign selecting the Delete Cross.gif toolbar option deletes the selected campaign.

Printing Campaign Details

Having accessed the required campaign selecting the Print Printer.gif toolbar option activates the printing of the campaign details.
