The System maintenance menu is only available to logins which have a priority level of 8 assigned within the franchise data module. It should not be necessary for day-to-day use of the system to access any of the options from this menu, and, if it is, this should be the overall system administrator, who will have the necessary priority.
Once the System maintenance option is selected from the main franchise data menu, the following topics will be displayed:
Prevent/allow access: This option allows you to prevent access you can stop new users entering the Franchise Data module.
Car tax definition: This option works in conjunction with vehicle stockbooks, this is not used within the UK.
File usage statistics: This allows users to monitor the usage of their files within their given module.
Reset in use flags: This enables users to unlock a part of the system, if they exited a module illegally.
Verify files: This option verifies the database structure of all the files used in the Franchise Data.
System Parameters: This option enables users to define and set controls for the system, the parameters are also used for importing facilities.
