You can define warranty claim payment parameters by using the Financial Parameters Form Flags Tab, define payment line parameters by using the Financial Tab, and use financial parameters to set contingent liability by using the Contingent Liability Tab.
Warning: Most of the parameter options require access priority 9 and are normally set up by, or on advice from, a consultant.
To set financial parameters:
From the Autoline General Motors Operations menu select the Warranty V2 menu option.
The Service, Repair and Warranty Claims menu is displayed.
Select the Warranty payments option.
If there is more than one Point-of-Sale company on your Autoline system, a menu displays a list of them, from which you must select the one required.
The General Motors Warranty Claim Payments form is displayed.
Note: In the event of non-valid accounts existing, a list of non-valid accounts is displayed instead of the General Motors Warranty Claim Payments form, so that you can rectify them before Autoline posts them. If you click Exit you are returned to the Service and Repair Payments menu. If you click Override, the General Motors Warranty Claim Payments form is displayed.
Select Tools > Parameters from the menu bar or click the View/Edit parameters toolbar button .
The Financial Parameters form is displayed.
See also GM Warranty Parameters (as distinct from financial parameters).
This form is displayed when you select Tools > Parameters from the menu bar or you click the View/Edit parameters toolbar button on the General Motors Warranty Claim Payments form. It enables you to set financial parameters pertaining to warranty payments.
