Other ways to push lines to POS.

The Vehicle Administration form is displayed.

For ease of use, we have provided a push screen from where it is possible to view and/or process all pushed/unpushed lines belonging to a vehicle. The specifications lines must have a source of 'W').

Open the appropriate vehicle record, from the menu bar, choose the Vehicle option. This displays a further menu, with a new option Push to POS.

Note: The vehicle record must be saved before this option is available.

Once selected, the push screen is displayed. This screen shows all available lines to be pushed to point-of-sale.

Indicates the 'type' of specification line. The lines are grouped between recoverable and non-recoverable. R is for Recoverable and N is for non-recoverable.

S

Indicates if the line is 'selected'. To select a line, left click in this column. Selected lines are marked with tick and the line becomes highlighted.

Show pushed lines: To see previously pushed lines, tick in the checkbox to see all lines. Pushed line are highlighted in 'green' and the 'S' column is disabled from use. Lines still waiting to be pushed are shown in 'black' as ready.

Cancel/Exit Use exit to return to the VSB record.

Note: The cancel button changes to exit when lines are selected to push to POS.

When all lines required are selected click on the push button, to push to POS.

POS specification lines.

POS Company: Select the point-of-sale company, (Click on the drop-down to select the appropriate company number if not known.)

Department: Select the department, (Click on the drop-down to select the appropriate department if not known)

Date required: Enter the date and time for when the work is required by. (this is a mandatory field.)

Time required: Enter time work required by. This is a mandatory field, the date cannot be prior to today's date, a warning will be displayed.

Notes: Enter any further notes.

Click on the push button to proceed. (a message will be displayed if the line has been successfully pushed to POS.)

Note:Once pushed, the lines are removed from the push screen. This routine at present cannot be used to 'pull' back lines to correct mistakes, see section Pull specification lines from POS.

To check if a WIP has been created, highlight the specification line required, then right click on the Amend/Display option.
