Selection of the Final Washouts option from the Terminations Main Menu displays the Final Washouts Menu. This gives access to a number of sub-menus enabling the options that must be undertaken prior to Final Washout in addition to the actual Washout procedure itself.
Warning: The Final Washout procedure must only be undertaken by Accounts personnel or, personnel within Terminations with agreement from the Accountant.

This Broadcast Boxis used by the System Administrator to broadcast system messages.
Located beneath and to the left of the Broadcast Box, this is a Menu listing the entire screen and sub-menu options available dependent upon User Priority Levels). Options currently available are as follows:
The option to freeze the controls enables the posting flags to be set against each posting which, in turn, enables or disenables the relevant posting to the General Ledger for those agreements available for Final Washout.
This option is to allocate the Nominal Codes to the termination record for the contracts being washed out.
Produces a report to show the entries which are posted if a selected agreement is Washed Out.
An option that enables the amendment of Nominal codes linked to any agreement prior to the Final Washout being run.
An option that enables one agreement to be linked to another for the purposes of posting the values to the Nominal Ledger.
This option proceeds with a Washout of any contract that is terminated and set to Automatic provided that certain conditions are met.
This option proceeds with a Washout of an individual contract that is terminated provided that certain conditions are met.
This option is designed to allow any values that have not previously been washed out to be transferred to the Pending File (IPend) for onward transmission to the Accounts system.
Enables the posting history for a given agreement (or number of agreements) to be viewed.
This option offers the facility to make the Washout Style for an individual contract either Automatic or Manual.
Enables amendment of Nominal codes for a selected Calculation Basis Code for example, NT (Normal Termination).
This option enables the copying of Nominal codes from one Calculation Basis Code to another.
This option enables exceptions to the normal rules for postings at agreement level.
Used to amend the controls that define which entry from the posting history file is used at the time of Final Washout.
This procedure is run within the End-Of-Day within Timed Proceduresand performs all of the necessary posting of charges.
Located beneath and to the right of the Broadcast Box, is a selection of Command Buttons.
Confirms the selected menu option
Exits the current screen and returns to the previous screen or menu
Provides online context sensitive help information to the user
This option is currently unavailable within the Fleet System. It enables the system to be viewed as either a GUI (Graphical User Interface) or Text-based application. This is a check box that is turned on/off. When the check box is empty the option is "off". Click on the check box (or use the Spacebar) to select or deselect.
On selection a Tab Menu is displayed prompting further selection from a list of utilities. The number of options available in the menu is dependent upon the User Priority Level
In addition to containing useful tools applicable to the log-in of a particular user, the Administrator contains the following useful functions:
The Electronic Mail system can be linked to a Fax system and to the Internet and also works with Kmail if required.
Individual users may be given different permissions so that they have access to selected options only.
This box displays the default printer and also provides a Change Command Button that displays a list of alternative printers from which to select.
