Autoline validates a claim content against rules dictated by General Motors. It creates a claim record only when all tasks in the claim pass validation.
Different validation criteria apply to different stages and in different parts of Autoline.
GM VALIDATION REQUIREMENTS:
There must be a repair date.
There must be a trouble code.
If there are parts on the claim, there must be a causal part.
There must be a case type.
If there are net items on the claim, there must be a net item type.
If there is labour on the claim, the main operation must be set.
If there are paint lines on the claim, the paint rate must be set. If there are no paint lines, the paint rate must be set to zero.
There must always be a labour rate.
There must always be a chassis number, except for parts-only claims.
This form is displayed when a claim record fails validation. That can happen in the following circumstances:
You right-click a line in the grid on the General Motors Warranty Claim Summary form and select the Validate option from the shortcut menu, or you select the Tools > Validate option from its menu bar
You select Tools > Validate or File > Save from the menu bar of the General Motors Warranty Claims form in manufacturer systems
You attempt to clear a Held check-box of a claim in the General Motors Warranty Submissions form
You attempt to post a credit note or you attempt to preview a credit note.
You attempt to print an invoice in Point-of-Sale
Note: The Invalidity Reasons Form is also displayed when you attempt to create or save an invalid mapping detail.
GRID:
Each line represents a validation test that the WIP failed. Make a note of each one, close the form, and add any missing information, or correct it, before trying again.
