Finding a Claim Record

To find a claim record:

  1. From the General Motors Operations menu select the Warranty V2 option.

    The Service, Repair and Warranty Claims menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Warranty claims option.

    If there is more than one Point-of-Sale company on your Autoline system, a menu displays a list of them, from which you must select the one required.

    The General Motors Warranty Claims form is displayed.

  3. Click the Claim number ellipsis button [...] or the Search for a claim toolbar button Find3.gif.

    The Claim Search form is displayed.

    Tip: If the Claim Search form displays, in its results grid, tasks from a previous search, you can click Reset to clear the grid.

  4. Enter your Selection Criteria and click Search to display claims matching the criteria.

    Autoline retrieves claim records falling within your selection criteria and displays them in the results grid.

  5. Double click the appropriate claim line in the results grid.

    You are returned to the General Motors Warranty Claims form populated with details of the selected claim.

Claim Search Form

This form is displayed when you click the Search for a claim toolbar button Find3.gif or you click the Claim number field's Ellipsis button [...] on the General Motors Warranty Claims form.

Selection criteria:

Claim number — From: Lowest claim record identification number to include in your search

Claim number — To: Highest claim record identification number to include in your search


Invoice number — From: Lowest invoice number, identifying the invoice from which the claim was created, to include in your search

Invoice number — To: Highest invoice number, identifying the invoice from which the claim was created, to include in your search


Invoice date — From: Earliest invoice, from which the claim was created, for claim records to include in your search

Invoice date — To: Latest invoice, from which the claim was created, for claim records to include in your search


WIP number — From: Lowest number of the WIP, from which the claim was created, of claims to include in your search

WIP number — To: Highest number of the WIP, from which the claim was created, of claims to include in your search


SL magic — From: Lowest sales ledger magic number, associated with the claim record, of claims to include in your search

SL magic — To: Highest sales ledger magic number, associated with the claim record, of claims to include in your search


Registration: Only display claim records for the vehicle with this registration number

Tip:A search on a Registration partial string match works.


Account: Only display claim records invoiced to the specified account number


Status: Display only claim records at the specified stage of processing

SEARCH RESULTS GRID:

Claim: Claim record identification number

Invoice: Number identifying the invoice from which the claim was created

Inv date: Date of the Invoice

WIP: Number identifying the WIP record from which the claim was created

Task: W-code suffix

Reg no.: Registration number of the vehicle to which the claim record applies

Status: Status of the claim

Parts: Total quantity of parts lines on the claim

Causal: Part number of the part set as Causal on the GM Warranty Parts List form

Main op: RTS code of the Labour Line set as the Main Labour Operation on the GM Warranty Labour Lines form

TC: Trouble Code specified against the claim on the General Motors Warranty Claim form

PUSH BUTTONS:

Cancel: Closes the form and returns you to the General Motors Warranty Claims form

Search: Retrieves claim records falling within the specified Selection Criteria and displays them in the search results grid

Last WIP: Displays claims created from the last WIP

Note: If you load a costed WIP in Point-of-Sale with a claim on it and click the Last WIP button it enters the last WIP loaded into Selection Criteria.

Reset: Clears the Selection Criteria fields to their default values

Help: Displays this help topic in a web browser

Print: Not used
