Autoline validates a claim's content against rules dictated by the parts supplier. It fails validation if, for example, there is no vehicle attached to the WIP, if any lines have missing or incomplete W-codes, or if the vehicle chassis number is blank. Autoline creates a claim record only when all tasks in the claim pass validation.
Different validation criteria apply to different stages and in different parts of Autoline.
When creating a claim in Point-of-Sale:
Job card must have been printed
Service Model Group from the Extended Vehicle Details form must be entered
Odometer value must be specified
In Manufacturer Systems / Point-of-Sale:
Chassis number in Job/vehicle details on the Main Tab of the Claims form must be non-blank
Commercial field on the Vehicle tab in the CRM vehicle record must be ticked or not ticked - could be blank on converted data
Repairing Dealer on the Invoice detail tab of the Claim Detail form cannot be left blank
According to the setting of the Repair date from parameter in the Rules section of the General tab of the Parameters form (O Date Out, I Date In, C Date Created), the relevant field in the WIP record must have been specified.
And Activity type on the Invoice Detail tab of the Claim Details form must comply with the following:
If you select Costcare or Democare, you must also enter:
MRC Contract number
Service coupon date
Service coupon miles
If you select Fitted in service, you must also enter Parts fitted date and Parts mileage.
If you select Transient, you must also enter Country of origin.
Additionally, you must specify a Causal part (on the Parts tab of the Claims form) for each claim/task combination where parts have been claimed. Only one part should be marked as being causal.
This form is displayed when a claim record fails validation. That can happen in the following circumstances:
You right-click a line in the grid on the Claim summary form and select the Validate option from the shortcut menu, or you select the Tools > Validate option from its menu bar
You select Tools > Validate or File > Save from the menu bar of the PGCS Claims form in manufacturer systems
You attempt to untick a claim line's Held check-box in the Submissions form
You attempt to print an invoice in Point-of-Sale
You click Create or Save when creating or amending mapping details
GRID:
Each line represents a validation test that the WIP failed. Make a note of each one, close the form, and add any missing information, or correct it, before trying again.
