Used Vehicles Definition tab

Tip: Attached to some fields is a drop down arrow, to enable you to view or select from a list.

Chassis number: The full chassis of the vehicle. If the chassis matches, you could be prompted with several message:

  • No matching chassis: Choose either to create record, or re-enter chassis.
  • Matching vehicle in stock: Click OK this means that the vehicle chassis is already attached to a vehicle currently in stock. Re-enter the chassis.
  • Vehicle previously linked: Click Yes if the correct vehicle, click no to re-enter.
  • Franchise: Single letter franchise code for the vehicle. (For example V for Vauxhall)

    Model code: Model Code (for example CORSA, VECTRA)

    Sub-model: The enable the user to break down the link between variants and models on those models, such as light commercials, where the number of variants is extremely large.

    Variant Code: Displays a specific listing of variants within the chosen model (for example GL, 1.8, 5 door hatchback).

    Note: Once the franchise, model and variant have been chosen, select the appropriate price.

    CAP Code: Allows you to enter the CAP Code of the vehicle.

    Note: This field can only be used if CAP data is resident. The [...] button accesses this data and provides a search facility enabling you to select the appropriate CAP Code. The system, will warn if there is a difference between the current vehicle description and that CAP code description. An overwrite facility is available if you wold prefer to use the CAP code description for the vehicle.

    Qualifying for VAT?: Whether the vehicle qualifies for VAT.

    Show picture: If ticked will display the image. Select the [...]if picture code is unknown. Attach an image of the vehicle to the vehicle record.
