These consist of the following:
PURPOSE:
To check for mail messages that inform the dealer of any failed transmissions and advise what action to take or whom to contact (MS Support/Volvo Car UK IT). For example, if the DSP process at Volvo fails to create the files for you to collect, either MS Support sends an e-mail to all dealers via Autoline, or Volvo sends a memo by e-mail, instructing you when, and how, to upload the files.
FREQUENCY:
Check must be made daily and actions taken as advised by mail.
PROCESS:
When MS Support sends an e-mail, a 'You have mail' message is sent to each person in the DSP mail group identified in the Advice Note Parameter: Email address.
To read e-mails on the Autoline system:
From the VOLVO UK OPERATIONS Menu, click Administrator.
The Administrator form is displayed.
Select the Mail tab then select the In option button under Mailbox.
A list of incoming mail is displayed.
Read the mail and act on its contents - for example, contact MS Support.
After the problem is resolved, send an e-mail to the other users using DSP as the address.
Users and MS Support are thereby informed that the problem is solved.
