To facilitate creation of claims, there is an Auto-create facility that scans the WIP file and shows any unsubmitted claims. This facility ensures that no claims are overlooked.
To auto-create claims:
From the GENERAL MOTORS OPERATIONS menu, select the Warranty option.
The Warranty Menu V1 menu is displayed.
Select the Warranty option and the Point-of-Sale (SO) company number if you are asked for it.
The GM Warranty form is displayed with the Details tab active.
Select Mode > Auto-create from the drop-down menu.
The Auto-create option is marked with a tick.
Select File > Create from the drop-down menu or click the Create button.
The WIP file is scanned and a list of new WIPs is displayed.
Select the grid line for the WIP you want to process and click Create Claim.
The GM Warranty form grid is populated with details of the claim, with all three tabs visible. You can check and amend the details of a repair or amend the claim details as necessary.
Select File > Save from the drop-down menu or click the Save button.
If the claim fails validation the reason is displayed, enabling you to make any necessary amendments. When the details are all valid the claim is created.
Note: If there is more than one new WIP, the system automatically loads the next claim onto the form, for processing as above.
