After successful conversion of an automatic N40 stock order file, you must display the order so that the Autoline system creates a purchase order within PURCHASE CONTROL. You must do this before Autoline sends a stock movements file (D40) to the Volvo DSP system between 2.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. You have the facility to print an order, if required.

Note: Autoline automatically assigns a status of P to N40 orders. This indicates that a purchase order has been raised.

To view, or print, a stock order:

  1. From the VOLVO UK OPERATIONS Menu, select the DSP option.

The VOLVO UK DSP Menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Advice note menu option.

The ADVICE NOTES MENU is displayed.

  3. Select the Advice note maintenance option.

The system prompts you to select the PURCHASE CONTROL (PC) company if more than one company exists.

  4. Select the PC company if applicable.

    The Operator form is displayed.

  5. Enter your Login and Password, and click OK.

Note: It is possible to specify a default operator within the Default POS operator code for EOD processes field on the Dealer Options Tab of the Advice Note Parameters Form. This parameter must be completed in the event that the advice note is uploaded and converted by a Timed Operation.

The Advice Note and Order Processing form is displayed.

  6. Select the Orders Tab.

The system displays a list of stock order files currently on the Autoline system and automatically creates purchase orders in PURCHASE CONTROL.

Note: The list of orders displayed depends on the purge time set within the Advice Note Parameter: Days to keep unproc..
