System maintenance functions include barring users from logging in to a module, unlocking files and records left inadvertently locked, starting web and task daemons, maintaining records and default values for records in files used, consolidating script logs and purging the script log archive. It also enables you to view file use statistics, verify file integrity, set parameters, and set system controls.
To carry out system maintenance:
From the Autoline master menu select the customer contact management option
The Customer Contact Management menu is displayed.
Select the System maintenance option
The CM System Maintenance menu is displayed.
This menu is displayed when you select System maintenance from the Customer Contact Management menu.
Prevent/allow access: Enables you to bar users from logging in to a module
Reset in use flags: Enables you to unlock files and records left inadvertently locked when a user is logged in illegally, as can happen in power cuts or other system failures
Record maintenance: Enables you to amend records in all files used
Default record maintenance: Enables you to amend default values for records in files used
Consolidate files: Enables you to consolidate script logs and purge the script log archive
File usage statistics: Displays file use statistics including percentage of the file's maximum space being used
Verify files: Automatically verifies the integrity of the files used
System parameters: Enables you to set parameters for the home page, administrator, agent shifts, favourites, and courtesy/chase-up
System controls: Enables you to set the next call list and event numbers, next script log and document numbers, module and company identifiers
