Miscellaneous Options Menu

This menu is displayed when you click MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS menu > Miscellaneous options. It enables you to run programs controlling certain routine maintenance functions which are set at a lower level of system security than the System Maintenance functions, but which do not constitute daily operational functions.

Many of these options should concern the systems supervisor only and have an important bearing on the operation of other parts of the system. For example, some items affect the stock record, purchasing criteria and the Point-of-Sale system.

Warning: Unless you clearly understand the significance of these options, do not make any changes without assistance.

Access permissions, called priorities, determine whether a particular menu option is displayed. Each menu option is assigned a priority when the program is installed. Your administrator assigns each user a priority. Any menu option whose priority is higher than your own is omitted from the menu. If you think you need access to a menu option described in this help but it does not appear in the actual menu, check with your administrator.
