The System Parameters set-up form is used to define top-level system defaults for the module.
To access the System Parameters form:
Select Fleet Kompact and the Company required from the main menu.
The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.
Select the System Maintenance option.
The System Maintenance menu is displayed.
Select the System Parameters option.
Tabs:
This area is divided into a series of tabs, each containing a number of default values applicable to a certain area. These tabs are as follows:
General Tab: Used to define a series of document types and a number of general parameters for the Fleet Kompact module.
General 2 Tab: This tab contains a number of general parameters ,as well as parameters that relate to Excess Invoicing and Excess Distance.
Quick Reports Tab: In many parts of the system a Reports option is now available within the menu bar and tool bars. This displays a list of user-defined reports applicable to the individual areas of the system (e.g. Maintenance). Once written within RepGen reports may be selected for inclusion within this menu list via inclusion within the Quick Reports Tab.
Memo Fields Tab: Enables the creation and editing of user-defined data fields against the agreement.
Tip: Each of the fields contained within this tab may then be accessed within the Miscellaneous Tab within the Agreement forms.
Funding Memo Fields Tab : Enables the creation and editing of user-defined data fields against the funding agreement.
Tip: Each of the fields contained within this tab may then be accessed within the Miscellaneous Tab within the Contract Funding form.
Documents Tab: Enables the creation and editing of user-defined document tracking fields to be held against the agreement.
Formats Tab: Used to define a series of print formats for the various areas of the Fleet Kompact module.
Note: If the Use Fleet Quotes Module checkbox in the General Tab of System Parameters (which denotes that the Fleet Kompact module is to be used in conjunction with the Fleet Quotations module) is unticked then the following three additional tabs are displayed within system parameters enabling input of information that would otherwise have been defined with the Fleet Quotations module.
RFL Details Tab: This tab stores all of the RFL values relating to passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
Heavy RFL Tab: This tab stores all of the RFL values relating to vehicles classified as Heavy.
Product Description Tab: This tab stores codes and descriptions for the Motor club and Relief vehicle types used in the creation of a contract.
Escalate Tab: Used to define whether the Escalate process is enabled within the Kompact module and, if so, which reports are used within this process.
Maint Grid Colours Tab: This tab is used to aide navigation. Maintenance approvals can be identified using a colour code. There is a wide selection of colours to choice from for each type of maintenance approval. These colours are used within the Maintenance History Tab.
Command Buttons
A number of command buttons are available. Some buttons are context sensitive and are greyed-out and only become available dependent upon the particular process that is being accessed. The full list of command buttons is as follows:
Exit: Exits the System Parameters form and returns to the System Maintenance menu.
Help: Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.
Create: Enables the creation of an additional record. Mutually exclusive option buttons allow this to be done in one of the two following ways:
Blank: Used if a new record is to be set-up without utilising existing criteria.
Copy: Copies the values within an existing "nearest match" record so that only required values need be edited.
Amend: Provides the facility for editing the set-up options of the current record. No edits can be made to a record until the Amend button has been selected.
Delete: Deletes the currently selected record.
Save: Saves any amendments made to system parameters and returns to the System Maintenance menu.
Cancel: On first accessing the form this command button is greyed-out. Following selection of the Amend button the Cancel option then becomes available to enable any edits to a record to be cancelled.
Message: This is not a command button. This box is a way of displaying messages with regard to the status of the current record e.g. "Record Secured OK"
Ad-hoc: Selection of this button displays a further form that provides an Ad-hoc Report Generator for the creation of quick query reports to form.
Setup: Selection of this button displays a further form that provides an itemised display of all the selection criteria for the current record.
